I don’t think he looked distressed today, Linares just didn’t lay down and came to fight.
Maybe I am not seeing something
Look at how Linares countered all the hyper movement angle shyt, for most of the fight. Even when they fought back prior (Marriaga) it was life or death off the ropes shyt. Linares was pressin Loma at times, and most importantly showed that he can be timed. After Loma got hit clean his defense went to shyt, the round after the KD, Linares hit Loma with the same exact punch. Loma pulled it out, cause he's a dog with mad heart and skill. Based on his last fight he can do it. He just needs to win 3 rounds and he will garner even bigger paydays plus he can put Easter on the undercard and make more money
lomachenko has been in two tough fights now. one with salido. one with linares. he lost one. he edged out the other one. both tough gritty fights. wont completely get blown out. wont completely dominate either. thats a good place to be. thats a place where roman gonzalez used to be. roman gonzalez used to have tough gritty fights with guys like this too. and he was called pound for pound number 1 for it too. and then the guys started getting bigger. and they started hitting harder. and then those close wins started turning into something else.

Linares standing around way too much man. Like another breh said, a jab would have made a really big difference. Linares could have won this fight. I'm just not seeing it with Loma man. He's good...but I don't think he's ATG yet. If he fights Mikey and beats him I'll give it to him. Mikey though beats this kid up and then stops him.

probably fights beltran next. probably beats him. probably. if lomachenko is a guy who has close fights with competition like orlando salido and jorge linares, and thats where he is at, then hes going to have close fights with those level of guys at the higher weights too. so if hes going to be in close fights, the competition is getting bigger and hitting harder.

The fight was dope, action packed. Loma definitely was a bit too much for Linares.
But one thing that made me question Jorge's ring genrelship and IQ, where was his jab and keeping his opponent away
with distance?
