I can't believe I watched part of an Eminem interview in 2018 but Eminem is right about how he never used his platform to knock artists under his banner. How many critically acclaimed albums did Budden ever release? And Eminem doesn't go around knocking Joe for it. It's a good point. On the other hand, if Joe sees himself as an honest voice and authority on hip-hop music, to stay true to his values, Joe has to call them as he sees them, but Em never got on an interview and said "Slaughterhouse under-performed to my expectations, I feel Budden never reallhy made anything of himself".

Listening to Eminem in an interview, he doesn't sound or seem that different from the person I paid attention to when I was in high school. I wish his music was more that way. I miss his old persona on the mic

joe has a bunch of critically acclaimed shyt

no he doesn't, has things his fans love but nothing critically acclaimed across the board. Like I'm not the biggest Kendrick or cole fan but Damn and forest hills drive are excellent bodies of work

If you aren't a big Joe fan you aren't listening to whatever his fan base considers great, and whatever album you are thinking of I am sure I agree with you that it was good but that doesn't make it critically acclaimed

Big Weenie underrated??? :what: :scusthov: :snoop: :camby:

That is probably the worst song in his entire career and one of the worst songs in hip hop history.

You're just jealous of me
'Cause you, you just can't do what I do
So instead of just admitting it
You walk around and say
All kinds of really mean things about me
'Cause you're a meany, a meany
But it's only cause you're just really jealous of me
Cause I'm what you want to be
So you just look like a idiot
When you say these mean things
'Cause it's too easy to see
You're really just a big weenie, big weenie

:dahell:

The whole song is literally him talking like a four year old and rambling on about nothing. shyt is disgraceful. Imagine if Jay or Nas dropped a song like that. Their careers would be over

That beat + 2004 G-Unit (or just '04 Buck) :leon::damn::banderas:

How you go from "Say goodbye to Hollywood" saying that you wanna step back and tend to your broken family now that you ain't gotta worry about money...to dropping another album a year later?

Not to mention, opening said album with Evil Deeds (one of my favorite Em songs, because I'm weird) saying shyt like:

Life ain't a fairytale, I'm about to be hoisted up in the air
Forty feet below me, there's people everywhere.
That I don't even know but it feels like they know me cause I'm on this ferris wheel
All I wanna do is go to the mall and take Hallie on the carousel
Without this crowd everywhere I go, but life is like a merry-go round
Here we go now, do-si-do now, curtains up the show must go now
Ring around the rosie, the show's over you can all go home now
But the curtain just don't close for me, this ain't how fame was supposed to be
Where's the switch that I could just turn off and on? This ain't what I chose to be
So please god, give me the strength to have what it takes to carry on
Til I pass 50 back the baton, the camera's on, my soul is gone

Encore is an album about Eminem not wanting to make an album lol, but he was still red hot and Interscope wasn't about to let him take years off to get himself stable. That's why he's holding a gun behind his back, shooting at the fans, the suicide note on the CD, the obvious trolling the label with shyt like my first single

"sold out"

Parity doesn't absolve the album from being trash. No excuses

Poetry.

I don't mind the double/tripple time but it takes Em away from his strengths. 3rd verse of stimulate is one of my favorite verses ever, clear, concise, not one fukking punchline, just poetry.

That's why I get confused when people praise Em as being a technical beast these past fewwhen during the Eminem show era/relapse he was way more technical and precise with the rhyme schemes.

I don't know if he dissed Drake or not but I completely agree.
If you need a ghostwriter it's time to put the mic down!
He mention reference tracks, ghostwriters, freestyling off phones and views( the name of drake's album). But we gonna act like he wasn't dissing Drake. Em a coward if he try to act like he wasn't subbing pissgawd

Mine are higher, so when you compare our views, you get overlooked
And I don't say the hook unless I wrote the hook

And now I'm just freestylin' in the vocal booth
And you know I've always spoke the truth

You lyin' through your teeth so much you broke a tooth
And it ain't somethin' I need a phone to do
