I work in the construction home building industry and my company is moving forward business as usual. They don’t seem phased by what’s going on in government right now. Coworkers (cacs) don’t seem too concerned either. Everybody that voted for this is quiet as hell. Almost like they’re disconnected. It’s very disturbing.

Listening to Progress Radio in Sirius, can't remeber the show, but it was on just after noon, the host was basically saying that Pam Bondi is the one who will fukk America. That essentially the presidency is now totally tyrannical.

I asked A.I. about the situation we're presently in and here's what it said about the last remaining check and balances.

1. Career civil servants and agency officials who may resist unlawful orders through:

• Refusing to implement unconstitutional directives
• Resigning in protest
• Whistleblowing
• Following court orders despite contrary executive instructions

1. The military leadership, who swear an oath to the Constitution rather than any individual, may:

• Refuse unlawful orders
• Continue following existing court-approved protocols
• Maintain their traditional separation from domestic politics

I thought I was the only one that felt that way

I warned him repeatedly that voting for him isn't a good idea. I haven't seen or heard from him since Trump's been in office. Also all the people in my area took down their Trump flags besides a few people in the more rural parts.

I stated in another thread that 90% of cacs I meet are conspiracy theorists but ONLY when it comes to democrats, government, science, medicine, and news. Anything Republican/MAGA is the truth in their eyes. Not sure how you right this ship at this point.

But that’s what I’m trying to explain fam. Even when something happens that negatively affects them, in THEIR world it gets spun as the fault of democrats, non whites, Obama, Biden and other unassociated bullshyt. The propaganda they consume won’t point out how their problems are directly the fault of this administration or they just won’t address it at all.

So they will continue to vote and support this. That’s how we got in this mess to begin with. They had 4 years of proof of what was about to happen and still supported it.

America is lost in a terminal collective delusion that's rapidly taking us off a cliff. The same type of delusion and collective madness that swept Germany in the 1930's is now present here in America. I'm convinced a good amount of MAGA can be convinced to justify ANYTHING this adminstration does, no matter how dark it is.

I'm not sure how we break this cycle either, other than mass suffering or some catastrophic event. The media landscape is also very troubling. We went from Trump convincing most of his supporters that factual news was fake almost a decade ago to our present, where most of mainstream media is now sane washing him and all this chaos. Everything has changed so dramatically since 2015. And Elon's takeover of Twitter, the rise of right-wing influencers like Tom Pool, Joe Rogan, Theo Von, Candace Owens, etc has only muddied the social media ecosystem in this country. Most Americans aren't even getting an accurate reading of what's going on. And unless you're already politically savvy and informed like us there is no media outlet giving them the context they need to understand the consequences of Trump's actions. Most Americans don't watch MSNBC. And they damn sure aren't watching left wing alternative media outlets. They're inundated with right wing narratives constantly. This is why Trump's approval rating is actually going up. Its pure madness.

Its hard to say where this all leads but a lot of people are going to be hurt as a result of this. This type of collective delusion America is trapped in isn't sustainable and will at some point come to a head.
