Let's be honest, Eli is done. He had a decent career, beat arguably the best quarterback in nfl history twice. Has done what 5 other teams couldn't do in the Superbowl to the best team over the last two decades. And beat one of the best coach in league history.

But his time is done. It really is time to move on and find the future QB.

Eli and Tyrod both got benched for the same reason. Their teams didn't believe in them long term anymore. The reason why it looks worse for Buffalo is because they made this decision while in a playoff hunt when they haven't been there this millennium.

Again, I don't even think it's the benching that's getting people mad. It's that a) they didn't let Eli make this decision and b) they're doing this to play Geno (and eventually Webb)

In football you can find players of value in every round of the draft. In basketball you basically need a top five pick to land a cornerstone player who can lead you to the finals. That’s the big difference.
