I'm sure the students have protested over different grievances the past few years, including today's grievances. Just no media or social media attention on it.
The same way Howard students likely protested dorm conditions months/years before they went Tent City and dialed it up.(and the news cameras showed up)

Yea, I remember they walk out at graduation because Betsy Devos was the speaker. The administration is out of touch with the students. shyt is sad.

Ed Reed was out of the pocket but the administration doesn't give a damn.

BCU is lucky they're a private institution because DeSantis would have jumped all over this for political points.

Alabama State and Prairie View are beautiful.
Norfork is nice also.
My alma mater (Southern)starting a campus renovation.

The thought of HBCUs having trash facilities is disingenuous.

Like Gizzle said we don't know if some of these lower tier PWI have worse facilities than HBCUs.

And it wasn’t really all that bad before the renovations over a decade ago

WSSU improved too.

People spend discretionary income on all sorts of things. Alumni engagement and support isn't based on large checks and photo ops. Steady continuous support from alumni base can carry schools a long way. Just need to have transparency and give them something to get excited about. Winning sports program can build that excitement.

Alums don't have to break their pockets to give back. Even 25 or 50 bucks helps. People bullshyt more than that monthly sometimes
