i never gave my stance until that post.. i gave reason why it would make sense... hypothetical.. because he MIGHT be moved to the bench.. he himself doesnt know where he stand right now..

i dont agree with it... although.. i agree wade is a better player...chase JR off the 3 line and he does the same behind the back dribble that stops all his momentum everytime.. chase wade and funnels through and either hit with that midrange monster or dunks...my personal belief is wade will provide continuity to lebron jame's playing style.. unlike ISO kyrie who drible drives games to death.. wade should definitly be on the bench to provide propper offensive balance to the team.
There's most definitely the possibility he could be moved to the bench, but the reasons you gave for why he should be moved still aren't MORE beneficial (than the contrary) to the success of the team. Which is what I was asking @seemorecizzy for. It was silly for you to even quote my post in the first place because your own reasoning for why JR should start is MORE beneficial to the team, than the hypothetical you gave about why he should be moved to the bench. It was a trick question to get dude to think the scenario through, rather than just say "because Wade is a better player". If he actually took the time to look at the functionality, style, personnel and lineups he would see that it is actually more beneficial to have JR starting over Wade.

Please next time, preface your posts a bit better so we don't go talking in cricles about nothing.

because in reality...it's not that obvious
answer this question.. once isaiah is back.. do you start JR or bench JR?

cause once he is back.. then do you keep Rose and Wade as the back court??? that would be the most shrunk back court in the entire nba...although wade's corner 3 is a bit underrated.... he goes through decent stretches in the corner...you would either need to keep IT on the bench.. or JR on the bench for it to make sense.. and IT and Rose as a defensive duo....:francis:

it just might be inevitable to put JR on the bench if they hope to compete against GSW.

The same nikkas who said Wade wasn't coming to Cleveland are now typing four paragraph posts about how he too old to contribute.

until thomas comes back rose and JR should start, since JR can shoot and rose can slash and kick

then thomas and wade should start as thomas can shoot and wade can slash and kick. You atleast want 1 knock down 3pt shooter starting whether it's zeke or JR

Just imagine how bad that defense is going to be with wade and IT. Cavs better be putting up 115 a game because they're going to be giving up 110

That's because more often than not I'm right. Remind me again, who was "hard headed" last season when he thought the Cavs had a switch on defense?

The cavs made it to the finals and pulled out a game against a team that was much more talented collectively than them......cavs D was fine...just ask the teams they faced before GS.

Think squads in the finals (consecutive) ain't playin' D brehs :mjlol:

I would say the two biggest examples of how Wade can help were in game 3 and 5...Games where Cleveland had clearly figured out to at least patch up the defense and give up the right looks...well I'll break down the two separately (IMO)

Game 3 - pretty easy, you can compare this to game 4 of the year prior in terms of how it went, albeit to different extremes. Cleveland looked pretty in charge for the first 3 quarters, and in game 4's case, even down to the last few minutes of the 4th, but the wheels just came off for the big 2. Its almost the same story, Bron was completely ineffective, seemingly burnt out when it mattered, and Kyrie, who gave an equal if not better offensive performance, wasnt able to maintain the pace well enough at any point for Bron to sit. The rest of the team contributed largely nothing, and once the offense flamed out from the leading duo, no one else could turn it on and give assistance. Wade could've potentially resolved this situation by giving Kyrie a respectable facilitator to handle that part while Bron sat down at some point during the early to mid 4th. Would've gave him more juice to close out better

Game 5 - This one is alot harder to resolve off of stats (because the game did appear to be pretty evenly distributed amongst the stars and help for CLE), but Wade does allow a massive turning point in this game to not occur. Other than the bullshyt ignorance to KD not getting his 3rd foul in the first quarter (which he should've), Bron subs out like last quarter, maybe 2 minutes to go? Kyrie immediately goes into tunnel vision mode. Early 2nd, Deron subs in, immediately gets ripped, stolen, commits a myriad of turnovers. Cleveland is already in like a 10 to 12-0 hole in the beginning of the 2nd, immediately losing a 4 pt 1st qtr advantage that could've been even larger after all the effort it seemed like Cleveland put. They'd go on to lose that quarter by 15 points following a 28-4 run. They actually won the 3rd, but by that point it was just too late. What Wade does is basically the same thing, he doesnt allow the train to completely go off the rails when Bron goes out.

What Wade brings for this second unit may not be enough to outright beat GSW currently, but it at least gives Bron and the coaching staff the knowledge that they can trust a tried and true veteran to not completely shut down the offense during times of rest. He also gives Isaiah some assistance as he's presumably running with the twos to get reconnected with in-game motions. Last year, Bron and Kyrie-less 2nd units featured Deron and a bunch of ball stoppers. Between IT and Wade, two guys who have starred in stellar motion systems, the ball should at least keep moving

Exactly....Besides having a highly productive starting five what GS has always had going for them is an ultra productive bench. Kerr knows that he can rest guys, and doesn't have to sweat fouls because he has two or three wing players that will keep moving the score up while his alphas sit.....the benefit of that is invaluable.

If u think about the bad boy pistons.....their bench was invaluable especially at the guard spot knowing the could bring on vinnie Johnson to score while Isaiah rested or count on dumars to do the same. GS is that but on steroids.

When CLE won the chip, it had little to do with the bench. It was two guys just makin it happen. But wit KD added and that bench it was just too much. Cavs matchup so much better now with Wade green osman.....etc., guys that can now come in give production while Bron love Rose IT or whoever sits.....all while watching from the bench AND NOT GETTING MENTALLY TIRED from the feeling of this is all on me. That drains you.

it could only be one of those reasons.. you dont need JR to stretch the floor from the bench..they have nothing BUT that..

Korver, Crowder, Shump and if he stays frye can all stretch the floor.. why move a 5th one???????? like fukk point guards?? it doesnt even make sense to move JR to bench UNLESS you also take TT out and move Love to the 5.

my personal belief tho is JR stays and wade runs the second squad, once IT is back ..shump might fly....like have really two distinct line up to start quarter 2 and 4.

throw in wade at the end of quarter 1 and 3 to get his knees going..

there is also a simple explanation. J.R. at this stage is better than DWade, at least in the role he provides :manny:

all around J.R. is better right now because he is younger, more athletic, and can play more minutes and is a better defender when he is supposed to be. Wade still is better at some things like pure scoring and playmaking/passing. We get enamored that DWade can still score 18ppg but that doesnt make him a better fit in the starting lineup. DWade can do more in the 2nd unit than he can in the 1st. He will be another version of Bron, seriously. Like a lot of times it will be better to have him and Bron not in at the same time because they do a lot of the same things and neither is a great spot up shooter.

Wade can post up and abuse guards and if help comes he can make the pass. He is also still very good at the drive and dish game.
