no I am not. I am saying if someone contends with the warriors they have to shut down the 3-point shooting to some degree. what is so hard to comprehend about that? cant trade twos for threes. GSW without that is no better than any of the other top 4 teams around..
That doesn't make no sense at all, because if you put forth the resources to go all-out to stop the Warriors from three, then that's going to open up the middle and still give them a huge advantage over the teams that you didn't have to go all-out to stop the three on.
Durant is a career 73% finisher at the rim, on of the best in the NBA, and jumped up to an insane 80% last year with the lane opened up by his teammates' threes. Curry is a career 64% finisher at the rim, one of the best among all point guards....but not better than Livingstone, who has been finishing at 73% at the rim since he joined the Warriors, up to an incredible 79% last year. Iggy has been hitting 74% of his shots at the rim since he joined the Warriors. Klay is at 67%, Dray is at 63%. Even Zaza made 62% of his shots at the rim last year, a career high.
The Warriors are INSANELY good at the rim, and that's because the court is so wide open due to teams trying to defend the three. And that's with teams not even being able to shut down their three-point shooting. If you work even harder against the three, it will only open up the middle of the court even more. No one in the NBA can compete with a team that's making 75% of their shots at the rim, even if they don't get off their threes.
