SO many willing to hate on a Black Man's ambition...that's to be expected. But the Rock's mindset is one to be trusted..whatever he has in mind, it will make sense. It usually does.

hmmm..my initial reaction was "whaaaat?"
I'm glad Rocky loves the flick but I already know his Jack Burton is going to be exactly the way the studio initially wanted Jack Burton to be: the classic hero whereas Russell and Carpenter knew he was the sidekick
i think people sleep on how versatile the rock is as an actor. he can play the satircal, "everyone's in on the joke except me" sidekick.

Also depends on who they get to be the "lead" and of course the director. You need a real vision on this, not some journeyman
