first 3 months suck but after that it starts to get better....I started real short and had shoulder length in about a year... the feeling of getting your dreads done on the weekend and going to work seeing the broads faces light up gotta keep em shyts clean and fresh not sweaty/dirty.......cut mine after a year and a half tho

Questions to all my brehs with dreds:

Do police harrass and fucc with y'all more than if u didn't have dreds?

Have dreds affected your chances of emplyment?

Have u been stepped to by other nyggaz on some "wher is this nygga from" potetial beef type shyt?

The reason why I ask this, is because these are some of the reasons why my cousins and homeboys who have had dreds, have cut their dreds. I'm in the bay so I know the police already harass nyggaz as it is. But when po po's see a car full of nygaz with dreds, its over. They really give cats a hard time with the bullshyt.

One of my homeboys that I played college ball with, was growin his dreds for about 7 or 8 yrs. After he was done playin ball and all that he was tryin to get a corporate type job. He was gettin no love from employers. He finally had to cut his hair.

Finally, the "beef aspect" of dreds. My cousins who have/had stay in the town (Oakland) and they have told me that they have been in bullshyt beef based on them just havin dreds. Nyggaz automatically assume that they are with the shyt. So some nyggaz automatically get problems from the jump.

I admit that vanity is the reason I am attempting to grow dreads, but the process also intrigues me and I know you learn a lot about your patience... I look at it like tattoos... The pain the you go through getting the tattoo is just as important as the finished product...

i have been fukked with by the police but anybody whose been to my city knows the police fukk with everyone. i got my first job at the ugly stage. i guess my resume and work study had something to do with it tho. but they hired other people with dreads before me so i guess its kinda different. i want to be a personal trainer and a strength coach i dont think that type of employer would give a shyt regardless foreal.

and i havent had problems with anybody. either cause i dont be in that type of stuff foreal and cause alot of people here have em. im in bham by the way
