The Wrong Side of the Tracks

Usually I get mixed signals from black women when it comes to my loc's,
they either run up to me happily and comment on them and ask questions about them,
or some with long full weave or little to no real hair at all just stare at them looking dumbfounded.

:laff:

If I hear 'Are those extensions?' one more goddamned time......:snoop:

Nah, this is 8 years of discipline & patience.

The BEESWAX didn't cause your hair to fall out...:wtf:

Look. I come from a family of Dreads. My Aunt got locks longer than her body.

I was probably the first cat to rock dreads in Bham. from jr. high in the early 90s until I was 23. My mom and punk ass daddy got dreads to the smalls of their back...and guess what, all started with beeswax.

Can beeswax build up, yes, absolutely, if you don't know what you're doing and use too much of the wrong product

See, you think all beeswax is equal and its not....

This again is the product of marketing and advertising..

Let you in on a lil secret..White companies own 95% of dread wax that is on the shelf and it is intended for straight hair as well

That's why the petroleum is added to raise the waxing properties of beeswax exponentially because that is what its gonna take to loc straight hair, basically white people's hair...because frankly, that's also the targeted demographic..

Me and my clan used 100% beeswax melted and mixed with 100% cocoa butter.

No wax buildup, excellent locking properties and nutrients for your hair and scalp. Combine that with aloe vera(from the stalk not the shelf) and coconut oil and you'll have the strong beautiful hair...

I aint knocking the newer methods\products to loc hair because quite frankly, they are impressive and making the process a lot easier..

But to dismiss beeswax as a locking method when its been used for at least 100 years is pure ignorance.

:whew::whew::whoo:

Good looks, fam....until I get to an island tho with natural aloe, and 100% pure bees-wax, it's this water-based bytch. :rudy:

I'm drunk right now (yeah, at 4 pm :yeshrug:), so I'll keep this short -

1) I come from a family of dreads as well. Before I started growing my hair out, I used to be pretty much the only one who cut their hair

2) I know the difference between pure beeswax and over-the-counter products. I thought it would be apparent that I was talking about the latter, seeing as it is far more commonplace in it's usage than the former.

Why do you think that was?
Couple of factors

- dry hair breaks easily
- my hair is fairly soft and straightish so it takes my new growth longer to lock
- the new growth breaking caused the roots to get thin
- hair is just like anything else there are good things for it and bad things for it, all these creams and jels don't just moisturize, they also give you hair vitamins and other nutrients to help it grow and stay strong

yezzir my nikka helps the nails, skin, but more importantly now it helps with hair. grows it thicker and cause its water soluble you cant overdo it. just goes out with your piss. i noticed i had a lot of new growth after consistent use. i recommend it breh its not expensive i got 60 5000mcg tablets for $10 and some places have a 2 for 1 deal. all you need to take minimum is 1 per day.

Can I take this with like men 1 a day?
