Close thread...not like Mike needed 20+ years in the league to get all this either
This narrative that it's somehow is a negative to play at elite level basketball for 20+ years really shows the level of stupid there is in basketball discourse.

Nikka how TF is it a bad thing to be a top player for 2 decades?

It's not a negative to play longer, but if it takes you 20 years to break records that dudes set in 11 years then its a negative...had lebron passed those records in fewer seasons or even 1-3 extra seasons it's different. And this year so far and last year have been pretty meaningless stat stuff seasons

I agree lebron is #2. But Penny was more skilled overall

I’m not talking career accomplishments

I'd agree there are numerous players with much more skill than Lebron. Hell, even Melo is a more gifted scorer, but certainly not a better player overall.
Lebrons biggest asset is longevity maintaining his athleticism and physicality. He's overall scoring has always been OD ugly

I luv Lebron. Dude is the ultimate athlete on and off the court. I cant even get upset if someone thinks he GOAT.

I still have to classify Jordan as NBA GOAT and top 5 American athlete all-time. I actually witness this man play. Dude murdered the competition even without shooting 10 threes a game. He always held the opp best player. Its Jordan forever.

What records are you even referring to? Cause the stuff mentioned were MEDIA AWARDS besides the scoring titles and steals titles.

Both Bron and MJ should honestly have more of these media driven awards than they do, but that 100000% is a reason why I don't put much stock into them cause they are literally given by men/women who don't watch all the games
