Future Trunks represents a world of people who will never outright win and still take L's no matter what they do to try and avoid them (Even after Trunks returns from the future and destroys Cell and the other Androids, most of civilization was wiped out by the Androirds and he still has lost those close to him (Gohan) and his mother (the rest of DBZ team)This time he goes back to a timeline where everyone will be okay, but his original timeline has been destroyed and he will have to live with knowing he failed his mentor Gohan.

A lot of this shyt could've been forgiven if Future Trunks became part of the main cast.
