Pikkon not being cannon is debatable. Toriyama has gone on record saying something along the lines of "just because an event happened in the anime that didn't happen in the manga doesn't mean that event never really happened.".Pikkon is also non cannon
That being said Pikkon was also on Grand Kai's planet with krillen and yamcha when kid buu came looking for Goku and Vegeta.
So for someone that's not cannon, Toriyama sure does like using him in his movies and episodes.

Pikkon has NEVER EVER EVER appeared in the manga. He was created by TOEI animation. The movies are not created by Toriyama san besides these last 2.

Just because Toriyama didn't create it or put it in the Manga, doesn't mean he didn't Co sign it.
The manga isn't gospel when it comes to DBZ.

I've personally never cared about The canon/non-canon debate. It's all one giant universe. I love the movies, Manga and Animated Series. Some of the movies were better than aspects of the show. Broly is one of the greatest villains in Dragon Ball History. Yet because he's "Non-canon" that takes away the Work he gave the Goku and the Team? No.
