Unless it's just the scene and angle, Vegeta's suit is a darker blue closer to the world martial arts/Buu saga. The best armor is the one he got killed by Frieza and revived in before the Badman shirt, but you get points getting away from the shiny blue suit from the Android saga. Everything in Super's been shiny.
Gohan's belt is purple, probably the first time he's been drawn in the orange gi without the blue belt and being a Yamcha recycle. Kinda cool how something that subtle can add depth with the Piccolo nod.
And yeah Super 2 looks miles better, DB's just supposed to have that gritty/unpolished look.
