The more I think of it, this tournament arc feels like Toriyama/TOEI read Yu Yu Hakusho Dark Tournament arc. Jiren is basically Younger Toguro especially with his backstory, look at his obscene muscles like him. UI is like Yusuke’s max power up after Kuwabara’s “death” . U7 are the hated outsiders due to fact of their best fight Goku, much like Yusuke and his rep as a spirit detective. Still enjoy the arc but looking into makes you go

Dragon Ball Kai.. It's basically Z compressed into like half the episodes... It also gave Funimation a second chance to dub the show and they did a much better job..
If you're an extremist like me that needs the raw, watch the original Dragon Ball Z in Japanese. The dubbed version of Z uses different dialogue that kinda ruins certain scenes and almost changes certain details in the story..
