no. lol.
and i'll even raise you on that exact topic too.
a perfect example of the one note and tone deaf writing is that the devs can't even recognize the irony in a trans character having their identity supportively corrected at each opportunity - but having that same character's group conflict come to a head when they refuse to call the necromancer everything but his name.
the option to call out the hypocrisy isn't even there because why would it be?
the game trips over itself in dialogue and narrative constantly. and for a lot of a people watered down wayfinder gameplay isn't enough to pick up the slack outside of that either.
I meant to say few sections, not seconds. Yeah the writing is atrocious at times, but 90% of it(so far, still haven't gotten to Taash) is fairly common level for most games.
The combat to me is great. Targeting mobs is fluid. I just spent nearly 5 mins blasting away at "Immune" mobs until I found out why they weren't weakening. I love that time Plenty assortment of skills and companion tag team abilities.
The random puzzles are a bit juvenile but they break up the pacing.
And as for the wayline gameplay, so does BMW, God of war, FF, and a host of other games that came out this year. Plus when you open up the crossroads, your options expand.
I give it an 8.5 so far
