You are being disengenious. Clinton never got a blanket free pass and folks were not trying to hear ANY criticism on Obama when he was running and his 1st term. Thats the difference. Obama was the first time black folks openly said they were giving their vote to dems for free and said it proudly. Before dems at least needed to do some lip service. Black folks were proudly Voting cause he was black and had a chance to win and nothing more. We didnt care if he threw farrakhan, his pastor or his momma under the bus to do so. Folks were caught up in the moment...
west and smiley rightfully tried to remind folks he is still a politician and still running on the party platform so we should treat him like all other politician and make sure we have a black agenda or something to hold him accountable for getting our votes.
Folks were not trying to hear that at the time... it was all wait until Obama gets elected... he gonna switch up once in office! He playing chess yall!! he gonna take care of black folks in the second term!! Just wait... if had any criticism at all for obama when he ran and the first term folks came for your neck.
I posted what Obama did for black ppl and no one has refuted it.
So why do you keep trying to push the narrative that he didn't take care of black folks?
As far as him throwing Farrakhan away, Farrakhan is a Trump supporting idiot that is making bank off of ignorant black ppl.
As far as him throwing away his pastor, his pastor was paid off to get out there and talk trash about Obama. Obama's first inclination wasn't to throw his pastor under the bus.
In fact, it was the opposite. Obama defended Jeremiah Wright. He even gave a special address to talk about the things that Wright said and why Wright felt that way.
After Obama did that, Wright kept on with the F boy stuff, and so Obama cut ties. What was he supposed to do?
Im not saying that Obama wasn't a politician. He was. That's all he ever said he was. I will agree with you that a lot of niccas saw him as the second coming, but that's on him. He never went out there saying he was the Messiah.
He simply said that he had a plan and that he believed that he could lead America into a brighter future. And he did that.
