You are completely right about that.
IMO it's ultimately up to the older men to teach the younger men and older women to teach the younger women the perils of having a child with someone you're not truly committed to. Otherwise it turns into gender blaming. To be fair, older black men in my experience have warned myself and other young black dudes about baby mama drama and child support. I think more women need to stress to younger women truly how hard it is to raise children alone, even without the financial difficulties. Too many people today seem to think it's cool as long as there's financial stability, ignoring the emotional benefits of having two actively involved parents.

Bruh, the original post you were like I think it's more important to be in a stable relationship than be married

If you compare the amount of people that are in stable relationships that are married, versus the people in stable relationships that are not, married people are going to win out

Coparenting sounds nice and shytz but most people have babies just because and are not planning shyt out

Yeah even educators who work in poor areas have said students from two-parent households usually perform better.

How do you know they didn’t get pregnant by accident? How do you know any of this shyt was even planned. It could’ve been a complete accident of a pregnancy and she didn’t want to abort it. Marriage or not. I don’t even know if they broke up. Nobody still verified this shyt to me.

With all the forms of BC, it's hard to view a lot of these pregnancies as accidents. But to be fair, BC could negatively impact how she performs on the tennis court.

Aye, I was scared to get sent to the principal’s office growing up because I knew my parents would be on my ass. Getting a girl pregnant oow was out of the question for me. I was taught that marriage comes first before anything. My parents were married before they had me, so I gotta be married before I have kids of my own. My cousins skipped the marriage step and them dudes got kids by multiple different women.

It’s clear that men lack just as much accountability as women do. Because this shyt is unacceptable and inexcusable in 2023. Didn’t we just have a thread about how most men in prison come from single mothers?

I'm illegitimate born but I didn't really think about it till I started hanging out at my childhood homie's house and saw that he had both of his parents. So at 11 years old I promised myself I wouldn't be a dead beat or father b*stard kids.

Salute to you brother and I hope you find a queen soon. It takes a lot of discipline to look at where your parents went wrong and take a different route.

Yeah, but we gotta start EARLY. Far too often we‘re trying to have these conversations when these young folks are in their late teens, early 20s, etc. It’s too late at that point.

It's 2023. There's no excuse to get pregnant by "accident"
Yall take one point I make and exhaust it. All I was trying to do was we don’t know how the baby came about. So it’s it’s not safe to just assume anything at the moment.

FTB; the ppl in charge of these programs need to put her in her place!

I ain’t focus on her because I don’t know any groups of blank women purposely trying to block black boys from getting ahead 🤷🏾‍♀️
@Gloxina

Stop putting commercial pop prison industrial based rap on to hiphop.

This is a hiphop culture pillar based board. So know the facts about hiphop culture. Plus how it is completely juxtaposed from the prison industrial economy.

Hiphop in the new achool way of thought is.

Anti violent
Anti gang
Anti androgynous pagan

All the shyt people have wrongly let the prison industrial econ9my graft onto the rap business. Is completely against every more and norm in hiphop.

So please stop blaming hiphop for the prison industrial economy system. b*stardizing and making a mockery of the business of rap. Derived from the pillars of hiphop in emcee'n, and dj'n.

Hiphop has four pillars and a rich history. With mores and norms to be prescient.
against all the bullshyt from the prison industrial economy.
Grafted wrongly on to the industry of the rap business. The most profitable business model in music history.

I know you skim.

After you skimmed my prolific posting.

based on oprah, terri mcmillan and Stella got her groove back slash passport bros reply the other day. Which was bogus. You cone across as educated. Yet you looked funny in the light.

You can not pick and choose facts.

Facts can not be disputed.

Facts and the convos don't even have to be that serious. Parents have tons of day-to-day news and social media debates to pull from and give advice. Shaderoom post or radio talk about Future having baby mama #10, viral debates about man buying his son McDonald's and whether he should've bought some for his babymama's other kids. Men and women have so much material today to use and explain why to avoid bringing children into the world under non-ideal circumstances.

A huge problem in our community is pride, most older people don't want to admit how they messed up when they were young even if it means helping the youth avoid the same life-altering mistakes.

Back in the day before Crack.

After children were given rights.
Then more rights.

children would be disciplined by their village.
The streets were Strict.

So if you did some shyt outside.
To not be slick enough to not get caught.

Another adult could beat your ass and give you a spanking. Then take you to your parents. Where you would have gotten spanked too.

The more they set in the prison industrial econ9my and the udc ruining scholastic. It created the very declining whirlpool effect. That brings us all down in the undertow.

Which we have not escaped from.

Well the idea of the trick baby or mother mademoiselle matriarch.

In Chicago is now actually reaching.
making economic duality equality and sense.

So at least law wise in Chicago.

The idea of preying on a man as a father is now criminal. So hopefully that can change thing.
where I am from in the long process.
need to establish this level and type of needed change.
