Different topic, but it's up to workers to ask for more pay. When you go on a job interview, what salary do you ask for? Is it random? Or do you take into account experience, living and costs?

You're absolutely right. That's why I'm rooting like hell for these auto workers to have demands met. Because what they achieve will become the standard across the board. Shorter work weeks, higher standard pay, better benefits, etc.
In the meantime, I'm staying close to family. I can help when I need to and get help when I need it.

I go into interviews asking for at $4-5 over my current pay rate. Any opening that’s offering less than the median rate in my area gets bushed immediately. I got a pretty good job rn that pays pretty well, so I’m not pressed to be hired by anyone anyways.

Y’all actually thought this shyt was going to last? It never does. I have never seen an unmarried couple have a child and that relationship last more than 5 years after birth. Getting a woman pregnant without wifing her up is clown shyt, IDC what nobody says.

Ehh she may not lose them, but she may not be prioritized as much anymore because she won't be as heavily marketable to young girls and their parents as someone like Coco Gauff. And I'm sure this situation isn't helping with Naomi's mental health struggles that made her take a break from the tour before getting pregnant. Now she has to bounce back both physically after giving birth and mentally.
Edit: Also, Naomi may be vulnerable because a lot of her endorsement value comes from being heavily marketed in Asia, specifically Japan, since they don't have many top global athletes. Kei Nishikori, a Japanese player on the men's tennis circuit, made $32M in 2020 despite never winning a grand slam. The only men's players that made more than him that year were the big 3 (Federer, Djokovic, Nadal). Single motherhood is viewed negatively in Japan so Naomi could be risking her endorsements.

If that’s true I’m sad that it happened. I hope they figure it out for the child sake. Just because you a straight financially don’t mean the child doesn’t need both parents.
Man I see this shyt all the time in this current era of relationships on IG. The women be having a solo baby bump photoshoot with some corny ass caption like, “me and you against the world” or some shyt like that, and when the baby comes, no pics of the BD. This era is the worst
