And he missed a Pat in the 4th quarter of that same Super Bowl. He missed a forty yarder in Cleveland with the game on the line. He was drafted too high we all knew that but he isn’t that guy in the clutch, he isn’t.

I mean, he missed the kicked so we gave the Rams great field position anyways. But going for it on 4th & relatively long when it's a kick Moody "should" make while we are still up 7 points would've felt like even more of a bad call by Kyle if he had taken that decision, imo. "Gambling" on Moody at that point with a difficult 4th down to make was not something I would critique Kyle for
Like I said, let's shyt on him for not fixing a single structural problem we've had in defense, OL and ST (which all showed up in the same to bite us in the ass, which isn't the norm anyways) but the playcalling wasn't an issue today I felt.

I mean, I don't think we are getting the 1 seed but I do think this season ia gonn take a long while before the playoff picture for the AFC and NFC looks clearer. .
It seems a bunch of talented teams will take 5 weeks before they start racking up Ws and momentum.

Yea we were out coached and I'll explain. We've only played 3 games and I can tell you that there are 3 major issues that could not only hinder our chances of success but keep us out of the playoffs were partially if not completely Shanahans fault.
1) Play calling - Shanahan's play calling has gotten the team yards but has not got us into the end zone. This has been a problem against the Vikings and against the Rams. I can excuse the Vikings because it's clear they are a considerably better team than anyone thought they would be and you can argue they are elite on both sides of the ball. The Rams on the other hand are not and we're hobbled up more than we were coming into this game. We were up going into the latter half of the game and should kept running the ball and draining out the clock where we could. We will probably be without McCaffrey and Deebo at least another month but we need to at least stay at .500 as the Seahawks have a considerably easier schedule this year than we do.
2) Kyle picks the coaches. Our special teams is garbage. The special teams coach needs to be fired. Low key special teams has been an Achilles heel for most of Kyle's tenure aside from Robbie Gould who seemed unhappy to be in San Francisco to the point where we had to overpay to keep him. On top of that Lynch and Shanny drafted a kicker in the 3rd round who misses important kicks way to often.
3) Offensive line is a glaring weakness. While good at run blocking. I have to hold my breath on passing plays because opposing defenses have not only won but have blown up plays before they get going. Trent Williams is clearly out of shape and out side of Domenick Puni and to a lesser extent Aaron Banks every offensive lineman has given up leverage too many times.
These things need to be fixed sooner rather than later. Because while a lot of teams are stumbling out the gate. They will stabilize soon. Our next three games we need to at minimum win 2 of the next 3 to stay on pace for a Wild Card spot (Seattle is 3-0 and their schedule is considerably easier than ours).
