The issue in 2020 was taking bribe money from Ukraine, which to my understanding is part of this tax fraud case, and daddy Joe and the NY Times covering it up.

The story got buried because it would cause major conflict with the "Trump is corrupt and beholden to foreign governments" line that Dems were using at the time.

There was never anything to cover up, it wasn't worthy of reporting for the sake of reporting to facilitate some "but both sides" narrative

The Republican-led House Oversight Committee conducted a more than-five hour interview with Devon Archer as part of its expanding congressional inquiry into the Biden family businesses as the GOP explores a potential impeachment inquiry into the president.

Both Republican and Democratic lawmakers inside the closed-door interview said Archer testified that over the span of 10 years, Hunter Biden put his father on the phone around 20 times while in the company of associates but “never once spoke about any business dealings.”

This is a bad look for Biden but its impact is minimal.

The real grift was when the Times buried this story during the most critical point in our last election. That story coming out would have sunk Biden and he would have lost the election. Everything after that point doesn't really matter and won't have the same impact.
