I get my info from actual sources and documents, not AI.

"Horizon Forbidden West, meanwhile, cost $212 million to develop and utilized more than 300 developers."

Your AI already failed by saying the average cost sold was $60-70

when its closer to probably $35-40

PC version is $20
PS5 Bundle is free (counts as a unit)
Holiday sales throughout the years

:camby:
I paid $60, and the conversion probably varies in Europe and other countries

if I wanted to buy it right now it'd be $20. So that'd be an average of $40 between the 2 of us :camby:

Like I said, sony stans are financially illiterate :camby:
I can also buy GTA 5 for $15....right now.

you really shouldn't be name calling .....

horizon? nah. they definitely overestimate aloy though

its actually wild how weak of a lead she is in such a vibrant world and in a game with a good overall story (not counting how they wrote themselves into a corner at the end of horizon 2)

I've long said the numbers of franchise are inflated. However, I enjoy everything about it but Aloy. She's whatever but the bundling and discounts only go so far. As mentioned in this thread, someone got it for free and never touched it.

You know that majority of the sales werent at $60 right ? fukking retarded ass sony stans :mjlol: the game is only $20 on PC :mjlol:

shyt is bargain bin status :mjlol:
So a 3 yr old game selling for $20 is bad business now. I know y'all mad that your whole catalog is about to be on PlayStation but your math ain't adding up. But you also thought Gamepass was going to be a financial success so we might need to get you a calculator lol

He's just arguing just to argue. His point makes no sense. So because a game is $20 3 yrs after it releases it's a flop that means most games are flops lol

What in the entire fukk does GTA 5 have to do with the subject at hand :dwillhuh:
its the fact that you brought up an OLD ASS GAME, that was once $60, at a price of $20 present day. I brought up GTA 5. as an example of another OLD ASS GAME. that was once $60 and is now $20.

Neither of these btw have anything to do with the game's opening year or 2, or even when it went down in price and still sales today. the fact is... 8.4 million units far exceeds $200 or even $300 million budget, exponentially. if it didn't there would be no part 3 in production in the first place, it would be scrapped.

btw. Im not even a sony stan, I'm more of a PC stan, currently playing Horizon Forbidden West on PC modded, just reached Plainsong last night. But if a muthafukka is wrong, they are wrong. its one of the top selling games and one of my favs. it didn't flop, part 2 was lit, DLC lit, glad its on PC now too. :manny:

If you actually comb through the game thoroughly, you'll see how deep the game truly is.

back in the day, I plat'd both Horizons. Got caught up in the world for quite some time. Enjoyed the side quests, hunting, trials, all of it. even having to look for parts to upgrade weapons were fun, even wifey enjoyed playing it when I fell asleep. If I needed some flowers or feathers, bones or whatever, she would sneak around and look for it (she's afraid of combat lol). I'd wake up to a full stock and weapons available for the oncoming mission :noah:

There's also many different types of ways to play Aloy, there's the slasher, stealth, negotiator, machine overrider, trap baiter, arrow specialist. matters on your style. its a very fun game. part 2, the story was eh, Zenith? really? eh. but being able to fly, glide and dive, all in one sequence, was amazing. Peak mountain, flying around, then boom, you're deep sea, then fly out the sea and fly over a desert. :damn:

it was $59.99 (price I paid), dropped to $49.99, 9 months later for the holidays. a year later it dropped to $29.99, however that's also when the damn DLC came out which was about the same price I think (can't remember but I bought that too) Frozen Wild was worth it, esp if you cleared the game, but beware, that bytch is hard asf.

And sony doesn’t get nearly the full retail price per game even if it sold at $60 they are probably only pulling in like $40.

I don’t think they lost money on the game. But it wasn’t as huge of a success as people assume it was :manny:
