There are only two players who can say they have an era where only they were eating and nobody else really was. Jordan from 91-98, and Bill Russell in the 60's and early 70's. Everybody else gotta share with somebody(Magic and Larry and the Pistons, Shaq/Timmy/Kobe, Lebron/Steph, etc.)

I had to reply. You're so full of shyt. Nobody gave a flying fukk about Duncan in the 2000s. We were aware that he was good but, that was it. Nikkas didn't even argue about Finals MVPs that much in those days. You know good and damn well if you're a core Millennial (born between 85 and 92) that we grew up on A.I., Kobe and T-Mac, respected the OGs like Jordan and Magic, and then loved the new school players like Bron, Wade and Melo who came in as we got older. You know this nikka. You know nobody back then wasnt putting no fukkin Tim Duncan over Kobe.

Either you were not old enough to experience life in the 2000s so you lack the context or you are a massive, massive hater.

This is so fukking cap. The fact that Kobe hadn't won a Finals MVP and wasn't the best player on his title teams was a HUGE deal in the 2000s. It was one of the main reasons the Lakers broke up and it was a big story line every year until he finally did it. You want the 2000s to be his era and yet he hadn't even come close to winning MVP or Finals MVP until 2008. If the Lakers hadn't picked up Pau without giving up damn near anything and Kobe hadn't finally won the MVP in 2008 and a title in 2009, Kobe's career would have been seen as disappointing to himself and many other people.

What was the Lakers record before lebron joined? Cavs record both times? Heat record?
Don't be dense, a good situation can mean going to a place with enough cap space to call up your all/superstar friends to build around and instantly change a teams fortune.

If you put Dame, Tatum, and KAT on the rockets tomorrow the entire situation changes overnight.

Compare a supporting cast led by pippen and Horace grant to Mo Williams and Illgauskas and expect to be taken seriously in a basketball discussion.

Also, completely eliminate Phil Jackson and his revolutionary triangle offense as a factor even tho Jordan couldn’t so much as make an NBA Finals without it.

Does Kobe refusing to be drafted by the bum New Jersey Nets, so he can play for one of the most successful and glamorous organizations in all of sports constitute “running from the grind”?

Guess Bron should have been a “competitor”, and refused to be drafted by the sorry ass Cavs and demand to only play for the Spurs or whatnot.
Go watch Pippen and Grant their 1st couple years with the Bulls then come back. The revolutionary Phil Jackson was doing what exactly before coaching MJ? Btw Tex Winter is the architect of the triangle. Why did Bron leave the Heatles then if he wanted a competent organization to play for?

Didn’t the rockets win in that span also?
