A successful 20 year music career means she stepped on the right toes, kissed the right asses, said the right things when told, did the events she was told to, shunned the artists/creatives/awards shows/radio stations she was told to, supported whatever writer/producer/award shows she was told, wore what she was told, by what designer she was told to support, while always smiling and taking whatever bullshyt they threw her way (unless her image called for a little innocent controlled rebellion from time to time) for 20 years.

I liked Aaliyah but she was a manufactured singer. she shouldn't have been mentioned in this & the other thread.

This makes no sense homie. How was Aaliyah manufactured? She graduated from performing arts school with a 4.0 GPA and she spoke very articulate in her interviews and only works with one songwriter per song..

Beyonce dropped out of school after 8th grade and can't even speak a complete sentence without stuttering.. And she works with 10 songwriters per song.

Beyonce was more manufactured if that's the case.

Agree 100 with this. Aaliyah was good, but she died young and didn't reach her peak so we will never know where she would have taken it, but in her time she didn't show us much regarding great stage presence, GREAT vocals etc. She had a great production/writing team in Timbo and Missy but Beyonce is a great artist, she really is. Vocally and live shows.

Aaliyah IMO wasn't anywhere near Beyonce vocally unless someone can show me otherwise?

Back in the 90's both of their vocals were on par with each other's honestly.. Beyonce just kept practicing and working on her voice to get better... But back in the 90's their voices were about the same.. But dance wise Aaliyah bested Beyonce hands down.

Aaliyah could do all those runs and shyt, it just wasn't her style.

I agree. Beyonce is in another level now, but she was NOT the same talented package when Aaliyah was alive. She had to grind and practice.. Aaliyah would have done the same

The demand is there solely because Beyonce has been reinvented into this Queen of the Universe type character, when in all actuality, if her team wasn't directly involved in sabotaging the careers off all her potential competition, to the point that now she's the ONLY BLACK AMERICAN FEMALE who's able to hold down a successful recording career, her career would most likely be faltering right now

Of course she's going to seem like a Goddess to these dizzy broads out here today, they have no other alternative to turn to besides Rihanna or some white broad

There is nothing special about Beyonce outside of the work of the team behind her over the years to create and sustain her image

There's chicks who can sing circles around her
Dance her off the stage
and
Look better than her

But you'll never hear about them, or if you do, they'll never be surrounded by the army of talent that Beyonce has access to, so they'll always seem inferior to her talent and image wise

1. Please explain specific instances of her people sabotaging her competition's career.

2. Name these broads. And before you start naming, at least have them better in two of the categories. Like sing and dance. Or dances and looks better.
