Are they legally separated? Did one of them actually file for divorce? If that’s not the case than they are not really separated in the since that some are speaking of. If he just decides to move out and get a girlfriend, that does not qualify as a separation. It’s cheating, lol.

If someone is in the midst of a divorce and starts dating another person than although I think they should wait, I don’t think it’s that big of an issue.

When women want a break they usually have been banging someone or have someone else in mind already...:ld: There are no rules in separation from what I've seen...

Whenever a woman says she "needs to find herself" is code word for this marriage is boring I wanna fukk other people...

Let’s say the relationship is not officially over, no divorce, yall just been separated for months. Do you start dating other people or do you use the time to work on yourself so you and your significant other can be reunited? Inspired by the JR situation
It did for me. Told her what it was, got my own spot, got legal separation papers and kept it movin':yeshrug:

When I was separated I dated a ton of women. But I purposely didn’t get serious with anybody even tho I could have. Main reason was becuz i didn’t wanna bring my baggage into a relationship. My girl now understood that. But my ex wife had had a whole affair which caused it and started a relationship with the dude while we were separated. So technically all bets were off

No relationship has ever gotten stronger through separation. You supposed to work things out, communicate. Separation is doing the opposite.

All Relationships are designed for growth, not for pleasure.

Use the time to work on yourself.

Usually the most dead inside toxic people keep bouncing relationship to relationship without working on themselves and growing.

We gotta sit back, re-evaluate, be vulnerable, soak some personal time and mourn the death of the last relationship, then come back stronger than ever for the next one that comes along.

I personally think you can completely separate, grow, and come back together healthy (not likely but possible), but not “separation” in the sense of still acting like you’re in a relationship.

That doesn’t mean you need to date out, or not date out. Just truly work on yourself, and I don’t think that’s possible thinking about that other person

be careful how the terms are thrown or accepted? Separated/tion can mean, a bit of space, leave me be and let me figure things out,. ie, be by close one's and family.

then there is the term of, go fukk and fukk, lick and suck and get destroyed ..but keep it to yourself!..WU tANG.

"separated" or "taking a break" really means breaking up/divorcing but neither party is strong enough to admit it, OR they want to be able to blame the other party somehow

I don't do breaks anymore -- if we break -- we broke. BYE

But, in the past...I felt like this...

Break for me = single - meaning I can see other people.

Break for him = we still together - meaning he CAN NOT see other people -- nor have any contact with any either.
