a lot of cries of betrayal are circling the net after this stopgap passed, critics of it saying ukraine was thrown under the bus. mind you, this comes AFTER billions have recently been approved, with ukraine receiving a shipment of m1 abrams tanks just days ago.

do any of you actually care what happens to ukraine? is this something that should be a concern of black people? does the defense of ukraine improve the material reality of black america at all? does defending her from russia play a significant role in reversing the socioeconomic disrepair suffered by our people?

i’ll end this by saying that when russia stepped up its invasion, ukraine forbid its black population from leaving the country. is that a nation black people should be rallying behind?

:jbhmm:

No.

If Russia wants to put the band back together then so be it.

USSR was popping for a minute back in the day so I can see why they are trying to run it back.

All the fearmongering you hear regarding Russia, is actually projections by US. We just describe ourselves, but point fingers at others. Look what the US did to Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, and Syria. We have been funding coups and rebels throughout South America for over 5 decades. Then we complain when the refugees of those countries come crying at out border. The US just seized 1 million barrels of oil from Iran headed to China. Americans are so propagandized, its ridiculous.
:wow:

no lies told. a scary sight to observe brehs regurgitating pentagon talking points.

If Putin were to have conquered the Ukraine he wouldn't just have stopped at Ukraine. You nerds never dealt with a bully in school before?
He probably just want the Soviet Union back which doesn’t really affect us. Also what major war has the people in the region of Russia ever won, what about battles they’ve won. I’m not a big historian but they usually needed allies that were better at war than them to really win battles.

Yeah. If Russia isn't stopped, or better collapses into more countries, they're going to invade Moldova and the Baltics next.

The USA will be forced to invaded Europe a 3rd time. Again. We dont want this.
Could have been avoided by not pushing nato and EU too far east, not aggressively pursuing pro western governments in the last buffer state of Ukraine.
Ukrainians and Westerners think they are on the same side but Ukraine was thrown to the wolves for strategic reasons.

Because of the economic impact (higher gas prices, cost of goods and even some crops and the fact we are still funding the Ukraine effort that is likely years away from ending)

Even with this, most of the country really doesn’t care anymore

Could the cost of goods, such as gas, increase if Russia were to take over Ukraine? Just want some clarification.

False argument.

Now, NATO has a reason to exist because Russia blinked first.

Too bad. Thanks for playing.
