They are. Injections are something different and illegal butt injections are the procedures that are killing women, who choose to get them done due to not being able to afford the legitimate BBL from a doctor.
My girl and I watched the ABC special from the OP (it's on Hulu).
The girl Taryn in the OP wanted to save money on a BBL so she got illegal injections done, found out they were infecting her and potentially shortening her life, decided to get the material removed, flew down to Colombia to save money on THAT procedure, and still ultimately decided to keep some of the dangerous material in because she didn't want to lose her "silhouette"/shape which means that her health is still at risk.
She figured she'd try to eat clean and stay as healthy as possible to hold off on the inevitable result. shyt's kind of sad. There were two other stories of a couple of Hispanic women that went to a mother/daughter team for injections in California; both died from embolisms.
The mother and daughter are out on bail (because they're rich as fukk) and awaiting trial. shyt's crazy.

I don't see the point with regular everyday women doing it. I can somewhat understand people in the sex industry like strippers, porn stars, escorts, etc but you got women like teachers, secretaries, registered nurses, etc going through with these ridiculous surgeries.
What's the end game? A hundred or so extra likes and DM's from thirsty dudes on IG? An extra $200 a month on your janky onlyfans?
