Captain Jack Harkness was charismatic enough to have a show for at least 10 seasons so they really dropped the ball on him. I always thought River Song should have had a spinoff of some kind... I always loved River :ahh:

River Song is fukking delicious.

Her and The Doctor's relationship is the most tragic one I've ever seen.

Ever.

River was amazing in the two parter that introduced her and I liked her in the early days of the Matt Smith run but by the end I was just tired of her. Moffat took what was a good character and made her into a combination deus ex machina and Mary Sue that I started to tire of.

Before my time as a Who fan but I'm surprised Torchwood didn't last longer. Doctor Who has gone from a cult thing to mainstream. They made the cover of Entertainment Weekly in America. You'd think there'd be some rumblings of a new spin-off.
That second season of Torchwood was some of the best sci-fi TV I had seen in a while and those last 3 or so episodes were just :why: to me.

And at the same time that Doctor Who and Torchwood were airing the BBC3 was airing the Sarah Jane Adventures. Who fans were :eat:well back then.

Just came back from the movies. I attended that showing of yesterday's who episode.

The new guy looks like a good choice. I got tired of the manic Willy Wonka and some dark who would be good.

Very good episode. Liked it better than the premiere. I was worried because I think the modern series relies on the Daleks way too much. For example, during Tom Baker's seven season run, I think he only went against them twice. But they had a nice twist and I wouldn't mind seeing more of Rusty much later on.

And this Doctor is cold as hell, but I like it. :leon:

What is this chick in "heaven" doing? Building up an army to fight the Doctor?

Damn contractual obligations to the Dalek creator. Thats the reason they have been overused.

Really? I know they had to pay him to use them at one point. What'd they do, sign a deal guaranteeing to use them 3-4 times every season?

This episode was miles better than the first one and I am enjoying this no fukks attitude Capaldi's Doctor has.

Clara was a lot better in this ep too than she has been in the majority of her time on the show.

I also liked the intro of Danny Pink. Hopefully they don't treat him like they did Rory and Mickey in past seasons.
