I don't hate Stephen Moffat like some Who fans seem to but I think I am ready for a new voice to be at the helm as showrunner. I would especially like to see it before Capaldi leaves the role.

I'm loving Capaldi/12, but I'm seriously feeling the need for a new showrunner. I never liked Moffat's style, but I am beyond sick of him at this point.
Kinda hoping this is Clara's last season too. She's done pretty much all she can character-wise, and I want a companion who doesn't fit the mold of "21st century British woman between the age of 18-49".

Mr. Pink kept making me look at the tv likeI wasn't feeling last season
which brought the season down a notch for me.
They need to introduce a new iconic character to the series, its been a while since we had a Captain Jack or River Song type of character that can stand as equals to the Doctor

The actress who played Clara quit because she got a role as Queen Victoria in a miniseries. Moffet needs to leave at the end of the year just like her.

I liked Clara well enough but she should have left at the end of last season...her story wrapped up perfectly.
And hopefully Moffat bounces before the choice for a new Companion is made. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing an old Companion brought back for a season to see how someone who knew a previous Doctor deals with this new one.

I would say your best bet is to start with the 2005 reboot of the series and if you like it then you can go back to the old school stuff.
