The second episode was even worse than the first one. I can go on Youtube and find 5 videos of damn near the exact same interchange between Davos and The Doctor from previous series. Plus Moffat has devolved into this creator who has ideas but has no clue how to build on them in any way. The Doctor meeting Davos as a boy, the sewer of old Daleks, the Hybrid prophesy, all of it was just not well executed at all.

And BBC is doing a spin-off targeted at younger viewers called "Class"; I am assuming it will be int he vein of the (sorely missed by me) Sarah Jane Adventures.

I'm not gonna lie..... I didn't like the second episode.... at first.

shyt felt like The Doctor got caught up in a bunch of circumstance that he couldn't control, panicked and got saved by an ass pull.... and then the sunglasses.

Then I was at work and it hit me. :ohhh: He planned ALL of that shyt out. from the top to the bottom. "Your sewers are revolting:umad:"

I liked Under the Lake (probably because I am a fan of writer Toby Whithouse and think he would be a good choice to take over the show after Moffat); it felt like what I love most about WHo which is basically the Doctor and his Companion pop up somewhere by accident and get involved with the shenanigans going on there.

this ep made me feel like Clara's Adventure addiction is either gonna go to far or it's gonna be the death of her.

She's at the complete opposite point from where she was with last season's Orient Express ep, where she was like ":what: can't you just.... ride on a train!?"

Yeah she is obviously compensating for Pink's death by replacing her grief with being an adventure junkie.

Season has been really good so far. :obama:

I hope Clara's thrill-seeking doesn't get her killed. :lupe: She just needs to take a step back and say :whoa: I need to chill and rethink my life.

Am I the only one that thins this 800 year old chick that the Doctor saved during the viking episode should become his new companion? Then they can finally throw Clara in the galactic bushes already :camby:

Maisie Williams would make a great new Companion. She's gonna be back again later this season so hopefully its to get a key to the Tardis. They are supposed to be adding Rigsy (the graffiti dude from last season's episode "Flatline") as the 2nd Companion along with Clara this season too.

Clara is gone after this series right?
Yep. And i am thinking she is going to be killed off based on all the heavy foreshadowing they keep doing with her.

I'm noticing this Doctor is very weary of having people traveling with him other than Clara. I thought Mr. Pink last series was gonna be a companion but that never happened now he's denying that 800 year old chick even though she clearly wants to be on the TARDIS and she is immortal and have all the time in the world

I was glad they remembered to mention that he traveled with Capt. Jack who was also immortal. Made his argument that 2 immortals shouldn't travel together seem kinda weak.

Funny thing is he never trusted Jack to a certain degree, I'm hoping the reference means that he'll make an appearance in the future possibly in the christmas special

Watching
Also with Jack he said he could barely stand to look at him since he became a fixed point in time.

I've been slacking with this thread. :mjcry:

NOT because I havent been watching (god forbid, I'd hang myself), but because I thought interest had dropped since Capaldi's 2nd season started. Didn't see a point of posting super long ass rants and breakdowns if I would be talking to myself.

I do enough of that at work while walking in circles in front of the "security" cameras. :mjlol:

But this season has been my favorite NuWho season since 11/River/Amy+Rory.

Me and my girl were trying to describe it. It doesnt have that "SUPER HIGH ADVENTURE" feel of 11's heyday. It doesn't have 10's "let's pull the supernatural viewers and the buffy/angel fans" feel.

It's a more...... adult, sophisticated suspense, thought provoking Doctor Who. If the last Doctors were written by Grant Morrison (11), Brian K. Vaughn (10) and Warren Ellis (09), THIS Doctor Who is being written by Alan Moore when he was writing Swamp Thing in 1985. When he introduced John Constantine and had Mento go insane while Zatara (Zatanna's father) and Sargon the Sorcerer burst into flames for just LOOKING at the Great Evil Beast, and Alec and Abby had sex via Abby eating a psychedelic sweet potato that grew out of Alec's chest.

trust me. it was far better than it sounds.

:whoa: whoops. nerded out there.
