Nah it was just ashy in some spots. If the flour/seasoning combo gets lumps and the lumps from the egg/buttermilk and those lumps get on the chicken they don't change color. It's edible.


Do you use any oil in the air fryer/on the food?

Might get a Nuwave 10 qt. I have a smaller one that I cooked with for the first time today and was instantly hooked.

For the amount of food I meal prep, I’d rather have the 10 qt one ready to go.

We got the instant pot air fryer lid! :blessed:

My man fried chicken two weekends in a row! :noah:

(I get weekends off. :hubie:)

It also roasts and bakes and mad other stuff, made some roasted potatoes and carrots to go with the chicken. :blessed:

If you dont mind spending at least a $150, I say get the ninja foodi. Air fryer/pressure cooker has been a godsend in my kitchen.
Can you link the one on you're talking about? I see several different types on Amazon.
