““Air fryers” is a misleading marketing term, since these appliances actually bake food instead of frying it. Air fryers are actually mini convection ovens that operate using a circulating fan. To be clear, air fryerscan't replicate the texture or flavor of foods that are traditionally deep fried.”

:patrice: I think I will still get a Foodi, but I need to go ahead and cop a deep fryer, too...

I don't have any kitchen appliances yet. I just moved and my roommates owned everything.

Except the electric kettle which I left behind, but they're gonna bring it back to me at some point.

I don't even have pots and pans yet.

Goodwill held me down when I was in transition. I slowly accumulated a kitchen over time. For a while I just had a pair of everything, plates, bowls, utensils; just needed a couple skillets and would just buy other kitchen items as needed secondhand, first appliance was a microwave for ease of reheating leftovers, but got a small charcoal grill before that :smugfavre:

Try to go with the Ninja Foodi. It's a combination airfryer and pressure cooker. It's a little more expensive though. You can also use it to bake/roast, broil, dehydrate, sear/saute, slow cook, and steam. They go from 180 to 229. I got mine at Sams for 180. I don't know how true this is, but somebody on facebook said Sams will be selling them for 130 on December 15th only.

I got in on the Sam's deal on the Foodi this morning....repped

It’s like people don’t know how to use regular ovens/stove tops. Only difference is the time it takes to heat up. People talking about cleanup and it’s legit a piece of foil you throw away on a baking sheet you put in the washing machine when you bake in the over
