This is a gimmick just like the latest exercise machine...6 months from now y’all gon’ be using this to hang your clothes on.
It’s like people don’t know how to use regular ovens/stove tops. Only difference is the time it takes to heat up. People talking about cleanup and it’s legit a piece of foil you throw away on a baking sheet you put in the washing machine when you bake in the over

I don't really deep fry foods too often but I was eyeing these for a while. The one appliance that I've bought that I REALLY use a lot is my rice cooker.
You dont deep fry because of the oil and grease. Air frying eliminates all that.

Im sure Sony will release an air fryer next year or so if thats what youre waiting on

i cook almost every day. i can steam veggies without needing a steaming contraption. i can bake/broil without buying a countertop appliance for a few hundred. people talking about spraying food with pam or olive oil instead of using a bunch of excess oil and putting it in this appliance like they discovered some new techniques :dead: you cant already do that? foods been coming out tender and juicy and crispy since i was in a kid because my pops was a executive chef for a casino out here and showed me how to cook from my toddler days watching him. you dont need an "air fryer" to get crispy chicken, or juicy filets of baked fish

Yes you can, and some. It may take a little practice to get the fried food exactly crispy like deep frying. But it always taste just as good. What I like most is, you don't feel that grease running to you blood stream or your head, the way deep frying makes you feel sometimes. Steaks come out nice and juicy too. There's a lot of you tube videos on how to cook food in this Ninja Foodi, and in other brands of air fryers. But you do have to spray a little cooking oil on your food after you flour it, too get it crispy. But most of the oil will drip off, once the food starts frying.
I fukks with my air fryer, but :dahell:

You must be eating a hell of a lot of fried foods to feel grease going through your blood stream or head.

I've never used one, but I don't understand the hate and snobbery against the air fryer. People have been using appliances to cook for decades. Waffle irons, slow cooker, Foreman grills, and Cornballers are devices that people get hyped about.

With that said, what's more useful for a single guy trying to eat out less? A pressure cooker/Instant Pot, a slow cooker, or an air fryer?

Get the Ninja Foodi and do all the above, plus bake/roast, sear/saute, dehydrate, broil, and steam.
I used the recipe the unit came with, to make my whole chicken. The honey in the left over juices made excellent gravy to pour back over the chicken. I haven't went Doug Style (the video below) yet with making this whole chicken, but I'm sure his is the bomb too.
