Yes nikka. You're literally replacing OIL with AIR. Can't get more low calorie than air breh.

Not everybody is on a calorie-restricted diet

I'm like 160 soaking wet, so I'm not that worried about calories, I'm just trying to know if shyt really tastes good. Can you still put breading/flour/etc on chicken or whatever and have it stick?

That said I might cop, my sister was telling me about these a while ago. And it would be nice to avoid the mess from pan frying.

Yeah this is what I do. It's like a colander device that you put over shallow water and boil. Works fine for me :yeshrug:

Some people don't like eating deep fried food and having it air fried with less oil for a healthier alternative sounds appealing to a lot of people. I really don't understand how you folks can have issues with a fukking air-fryer.

P.S. I bet I can cook better than 90% of this board.
Not even touching the deep fried food cuz I agree but the basics of this air fryer shyt is basically a convection oven, then we have simple ass food being cooked or shown as if it is some ground breaking tech. Like as I'm typing this shyt, its on my fukking tv as a advertisement. No joke this shyt getting pumped heavy on every media outlet. Guess I'm hating :yeshrug:

How quick are these shyts? They sound really good. If it's faster and there's less clean-up than pan frying, I'm sold

It takes longer to cook things in the air fryer compared to a deep fryer. It evens out for me though because the cleanup of my deep fryer takes way longer than the cleanup for the air. If you are cooking for a large group and don't have a lot of time, the deep fryer would be the way to go. For example, I can deep fry fish in 4-6 minutes but it usually takes 10-12 in my air fryer.

Yep you can bread it however you like. I took some air fried chicken wings to work and nobody could tell the difference in taste compared to the deep fried ones.

Will cop on Saturday. You can cook steaks in this thing? Batter fry fish?
Yes you can, and some. It may take a little practice to get the fried food exactly crispy like deep frying. But it always taste just as good. What I like most is, you don't feel that grease running to you blood stream or your head, the way deep frying makes you feel sometimes. Steaks come out nice and juicy too. There's a lot of you tube videos on how to cook food in this Ninja Foodi, and in other brands of air fryers. But you do have to spray a little cooking oil on your food after you flour it, too get it crispy. But most of the oil will drip off, once the food starts frying.

My wife bought one on Black Friday, a Chefman. I wish she would have bought the larger one, but this one works just fine. I've been air frying ribeye steaks that come out nice and juicy. Burgers and fries come out great. Gonna try some salmon this weekend. I'm curious about cooking eggs in there, I've heard people talking about trying that.

skinny people have disastrous diseases with fat... if clogs your smaller veins faster... btw, you can use a brush and brush a bit of oil on your food.. it will give it the fry feel and taste ....way less fat.

what all do you use a steamer for? i only steam vegetables, but i have this basket insert that you put in a regular pot to separate the vegetables from the water so only the steam cooks the veggies.

I steam eggs a lot...they come out delicious.

You’re not hating...the joint is a gimmick. These dudes buying table top ovens talking about “I don’t have to use a cooking agent!” nikka when did you ever have to use a cooking agent in an oven?

:stopitslime:

““Air fryers” is a misleading marketing term, since these appliances actually bake food instead of frying it. Air fryers are actually mini convection ovens that operate using a circulating fan. To be clear, air fryers can't replicate the texture or flavor of foods that are traditionally deep fried.”

The Best Air Fryer (But We Don’t Recommend It)
