Maybe in the music industry. Doesn't really explain all the issues he's experienced outside of it.
Yelling at the people who are trying to cheat you, and who aren't from the community was warranted.
Those people aren't black, or from the Hip Hop community, nor are they going to do good business in support of black ownership. So yeah, he screamed at people who would later blackball him. He knows that. We all know that. The people he's yelled at are the same people artists have been having trouble with for years. Dame was the only one willing to tell them about themselves publicly, and now he's paying for it. But it's like Jadakiss said, "Dame is saying what everyone else in the business is saying, but they say it behind closed doors".
Everyone's not willing to tell the truth out loud and lose access in the process. Dame was/is. He's paid for it. But he's never lied about anything he's said. All of the people he's screamed on, are some of the biggest snakes and crooks in the game. Powerful ones. But Dame was never wrong about them. Real ones know.
If you SHYT on ppl on the way up, you have no safety net if you fall off.
THE END.
Dame is obviously one of them. If people dont fukk with you in any business, especially entertainment, you aint got shyt coming. Thats why many of the most successful people are snakes. They are do folks dirty they just dont broadcast it or do it with a smile. Dame thought he could wild out on nikkas and that they would still fukk with him when he no longer had the trump card (Jay) in his pocket because of his bright ideas. He didnt understand the game and got played. And he would rather keep the facade up then actually shift to a more effective way of doing business. They did.
And they've admitted it, lol.
People who aren't in the industry don't understand. It's all relationships. Dame spent the better part of his career protecting people, and supporting people against the machine, but never got the same treatment in return. He doesn't play "the game". And anyone who's ever done business in music, knows if you don’t play the game, people will try to get you out. A lot of people turned their backs on dude because they needed to feed their families. Not because he did anyone dirty.
I remember being in meetings at Def Jam where people were literally joking about how they could get him out of the label. We also have to remember who's running these companies. It's not people from around the way, or even people from the culture. Erick Sermon said it best, he said he learned back in the 90's not to ever piss the wrong people off in the music business, because "even if you're right, they'll make you look wrong and make you the bad guy". Erick said Dreamworks tried to treat him like Dame Dash because he was yelling at white executives. They told him he couldn't come to the office anymore. Lyor and Doug both admitted that they felt Dame should be "moved out" of the business. Stoute said in interviews that he felt the same. This is what they do. Industry Rule # 4080.
True.
But him fumbling the money he did have didn't help.
And the entertainment business is not a meritocracy business...people really need to pick up on this shyt. It always has and always will be a relationships business.
Dame is only a Pos to those who try to rob you and gate keep in the industry.
It’s a domino effect.Maybe in the music industry. Doesn't really explain all the issues he's experienced outside of it.
Engaging in defamation and copyright infringement is the result of being blackballed from the music industry? It’s a domino effect.
I didn't say he had to consult with anyone else, I said he gave Cam the same title and deal that he did everyone else. Everyone was VP's at Roc. It was always like that. That's just how it was. People saying he did it to spite Jay are just wrong.
As far as Beans is concerned, Beans himself has always said that Dame was the only one who looked out for him when he had legal trouble. Dame was the one paying for his legal fees, and also gave him bread when he came home. When the label was folding, he signed Beans directly to DDMG, so that Beans could get paid. So like I said all of these people are dudes I spent a lot of time around. For years. I have respect for all of them. No favoritism at all. But a lot of what people assume about them and their personalities, is just inaccurate. It's online gossip that's just based on assumptions. They all did dumb sh*t, and for mad different reasons.
Master P had Fat Trel move out of town to take acting classes for the sequel to Menace to SocietyI'm sorry homie. I just don't believe you. There's an interview when Mack is saying that Dame's name was all over his taxes that Mack didn't file himself.
I'm not saying he didn't do good for people but don't sit here and act like a dikkhead. Bleek even said the final straw for Hov was the plane incident with Bleek. That's just how it is with him. Same thing with Master P. If you're not doing things according to their vision, you're not doing it right, regardless of how successful you are.
That is called a fukkin hater.
And there's probably some weird shytty "See what had happened was" type of story from Master P. When all it is is he's a trash ass businessman that's living off the success of 1998.Master P had Fat Trel move out of town to take acting classes for the sequel to Meance to Society
spoiler alert: not one acting class was had and the movie didn’t exist![]()
