The 718
NAH ITS TOO FORCED.

THE PERCENTAGE OF LGTB PPL VS THE REST OF THE COUNTRY
IS NOT BIG ENOUGH TO POP UP IN EVERY SHOW.

MOST PPL GO THEIR WHOLE DAY
WITHOUT SEEING ONE LGTB PERSON
IN REAL LIFE.

THESE SHOWS WOULD HAVE YOU THINKING
THEYRE 25% OF THE POPULATION
WHEN THEYRE LESS THAN 5%.

I dunno...it's more than you think.

I'm a manager at Domino's and across every damn store in our area a rather noticable chunk of employees are dykes :heh:

At one point our store had at least five black lesbians

THAT JUST MEANS YOU LIVE IN AN AREA WITH A LOT OF DIKES...

SOME PPL LIVE IN AREAS WITH A LOT OF EAST INDIANS...

LGTB IS LESS THAN 5% OF THE POPULATION.

I don't really care :unimpressed:

I'll never watch something centered around a gay romance between 2 men, but if characters in a show/movie happen to be gay, whatever.

I wasn't sure how I felt when I entered this thread, but if I'm completely honest with myself, this is exactly how I feel.

But speaking for myself (and not Zero or anyone who dapped, agrees), I wouldn't/don't watch things that center on romance in any way, even if it's between a woman and a man or two women. I don't care for film and TV that's about/based on relationships.

But if characters in a show/film are gay, I honestly do not care one way or the other. Gay people exist in real life so they should exist on screen.

They have always been there only now they are not joke characters. So that is a good thing

This is also a great fukking point.

For years (decades) there have been wildly effeminate and/or gay characters in film and TV, and they were always treated like the joke (hitting on a straight character who isn't with it, a person in a dress turns around and they have a beard, or the guy that works at the store but is clearly gay but pretends not to be etc.)

But now that they're in the films and shows but not the joke, people scream "agenda"

I feel the same way about it as I do seeing cacs in ancient Egypt or black folk in Viking lands. shyt comes off forced unless it's integral to the story but there are some great gay characters out there. The Asian treh from Banshee was cool :dame:

And yes when pedophilla becomes normalized the same shyt is going to be said
Yeah its not the sweeping wave of fascism, maniac president, police more than half of who abuse their spouse that are trigger happy towards black folks oh no its the gays. :mjlol:

I gets people with same sex attractions in the world. But it comes off as pandering many times. Just think of the girls scene in "End Game". Straight pandering to feminists for example.

Look at tv show the Wire. You had gay characters but it felt natural to me. What ahppening now is an agenda (i know some hate the word but its the truth).

if it makes sense, yea, but nothing like a forced diversity character or storyline. hate seeing white shows shoehorn a black person in for no reason, in the same way i hate seeing some random LGBT experience/character pop up outta no where (kinda like jaden's character in the get down)
