Yeah, you can't be up here showing these happy ass commercials, and treating your employees like shyt in real life. I don't blame these kids for quitting, I just ask that they atleast have a few back up plans set in motion. I literally just had this talk with my nephew last week. His manager trying to get over on em with those bullshyt ass wages & benefit packages.

:scust:

Do you have any sources to confirm this? That shyt sounds wild :russ:

That's what we should be helping them with but by the sounds of this thread their 'elders' are selling them dreams

The world is alot different now than it was in 2009. Back then if you lost your job, you were completely assed out until you found another one. Today if you lose your job, you can drive Uber or Lyft, do DoorDash or UberEats. You can deliver for Shipt, Amazon and other similar apps. Amazon warehouse jobs are another safety valve seeing that they hire anyone and everyone on the spot. Tons of temp jobs and contract positions always hiring. Tons of remote jobs always hiring. All of these options can put money in someone's hands immediately so it lessens the sting of leaving or quitting a job until you can find your next full-time position.

2008-2014 was a nightmare. If you lost your job or showed up a couple of minutes late, they would be quick to fire you and if you were jobless for more than 3 months, you were "unmarketable" and you pretty much had to be on welfare. A lot of people slid to homelessness at that time period, and they never quite made it back to statistics.

Youth gets very little credit. The youth is the future but folks are in here running them down like they are full blown scammers. You guys don't have a clue. And some of you claim you're pro black. :ohhh::ohhh::ohhh::ohhh: I see it all over social media it's not just here. They accomplish shyt and get little praise. Some clown they don't know does something stupid and they become the face of the generation. I peep it. And so does the youth.

They're running them down because they are either managers within a company or running a business that depends on these low-wage employees.

There's no one in here from a high-paid industry complaining about workers quitting (like say tech or high-finance) because nobody is quitting those six figure jobs (besides people who are burned out from the hours).

Yup, they don't have kids either so it's not like they have to have a job. Employers are in for a rude awakening over the next decade or so.
Finally someone gets it. If all you need monet for is to pay your AT&T bill and chill at the mall, yeah fukk that job. Long term game vs short term game

“And besides trying to build a following doing make up tutorials, did you do anything else? We are Wal-Mart.”

:wow:

It’s not the gen-z kids though.. it’s the parent’s job to prepare them PROPERLY for the future. Randomly quitting a job via text would be unacceptable for me, and I wasn’t raised to burn bridges and treat future references like side chicks.. Long term game vs short term game.

That’s actually a good point (I work in tech).

But in tech people are complaining about these clown ass millennials not showing up for interviews, ghosting interviews, ghosting jobs (fresh outta college jobs, internships etc).

They believe the fantasy on the gram and reality won’t be agreeing with them.

Yep.

If it ain't WFH or something lucrative, I dont want it. These employers still stuck in 2008, thinking that people will tolerate any low wage job for years on end.

We need worker Unions again, and 4 day workweeks.

Full time should be 30 hrs a week, Monday- Wednesday 10 hr days :unimpressed:

This 100%.

I respect Gen Z's hustle....but it's a lot easier to do that when you have no kids and parents to support you...pay your bills etc.

The real test comes when you gotta hold your own nuts :dame:.

The ideal approach is to have a good 9 to 5 (with cheap healthcare) and THEN have streams of income on the side. My Millenial and Gen X peoples understand the benefits of doing both.

Gen Z loves the freedom of side hustles but misses out on easy money and healthcare with a 9 to 5.

Ayooooo Living Color was truly a GOAT show, type of shyt that have you :mjlol: 5 seconds into the skit

When he called the 4 year old boy lazy for not having a job tombout “when I was your age I had a paper route, kool aid stand, I was a babysitter and worked in a coal mine all by the time I finished 4th grade” ayoooo :russ:

Then when he kicked David Allen Grier out of first class for having only one job :heh:

I had no idea Sinclair from Living Single was on In Living Color tho :ohhh:

Really this.

Got two kids, the fukk I'm going to look like if my mini me's come to me talking about they hungry and I just shrug shoulders? What kinda fukking man am I if I'm not providing for them..? mortgages, groceries, car notes, clothing, power, gas. These wannabe Fidel Castro's don't have no real responsibilities so they don't give a damn.
u sound salty as fukk

Have kids brehs:russ:

Thats why u have no kids.so u can do whatever u want when u want .

If I got money in the bank and a job don't bend for me and what I want to do

I laugh and tell them to go fukk themselves fr:russ:and walk the fukk out

If I had kids I'd have to take it on the chin like a gutter slut and :mjcry:

We won't but they do this sort of thing all the time. We probably get 1 or 2 people a week who just stop coming in. A lot of times they are trying to do unemployment fraud. Then maybe once or twice a month we get people who show their ass. These people are perpetual poor, don't have cars and can't keep their phones on.

This culture of quiting and low work ethic is super toxic and destructive.

I don’t get it, don’t they gotta be there at least 6 months to get unemployment?

People trying to work a few weeks then quit to try to get unemployment? :gucci:

Yup they do it so much that now you can pre-deny unemployment as an employer. But we never fire people (unless they do something off the wall). We keep you active until they formally quit. So if the state calls we just let them know the person is still an employee they just stop coming to work. We haven't been scammed yet.

What u mean by pre deny unemployment?

I see u said y’all don’t fire people but what about the rare cases where someone gets laid off?
Whole generation lived a hell of a year and half probably bringing in close to 4K a month to not work. If you gave me that at 20/21 I would have been balling out of control :russ:

Who was getting 4K a month for a year and a half? :gucci:

So true. I was fresh out of high school and struggled with finding work
