We were created in gods image not in the image of a animal. We were given dominion over these beasts but we still have a responsiblity to be nice to our animals because ultimately, we all die.

Genesis 1:28

And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Proverbs 12:10

Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.

Ecclesiastes 3:19
For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and man has no advantage over the beasts, for all is vanity.

Does the last part imply that we are all equal, man and beast.
And I'm assuming beasts = animals

We're far beyond animals. Look at the level of art, literature, technology, moral reasoning, etc. that has come from humanity. To put us one baby step away from the rest of the animal kingdom is absurd.

Because it's egotistical stating reality. If ya'll are animals, why aren't ya'll in a zoo or living in the wild?

Biologically, we're animals. Far more intelligent and powerful than any other animal on the planet, but still animals.

Because it's egotistical stating reality. If ya'll are animals, why aren't ya'll in a zoo or living in the wild?

Please look up the definition of an animal. :disdain:

Biologically humans are classified as mammals. It's not really debatable. You could argue that humans are more important that other animals in many ways, but biologically we're very similar to other mammals.

Are we more advanced in comparison to a chimpanzee than a chimpanzee is in comparison to a sponge? I'd say certainly no.

The reason humans have become so advanced is they figure out how to control shyt around them. But when shyt hits the fan, back to ANIMALS!!!

We are far beyond chimps. Creation of highly complex music, art, rockets to be able to explore other planets, intricate philosophies, creating a worldwide network of communication, airplanes, cars and other forms of travel that have made it possible to reach places that would have been otherwise impossible, and unfortunately, we've also gained the ability to destroy the world through nuclear weapons.
