Because him starting would lead to a team losing, the last thing you want is an undersized, ego driven, inefficient shoot first player at the point.

Calderon, Ridnour and Hinrich know their roles, Iverson still thought he was a star. He could have come off the bench for any number of teams and been on contenders, but that dude is the definition of "Me first" type player and decided it was better to play in Turkey than win a title.

i think losing jason kidd and JET was a big deal for him b/c they were two vets who knew his game and how to play that pick and pop game at the top of the key.

that being said, he still makes 21M a yr so he better find that passion somewhere.
