Dionne Warwick has about 10 albums that can be considered great to classic tho whereas Beyonce best is probably just a greatest hits CD.
There is a lot more "great" in that list than "classic."I also can see the clear stuborness for no reason at all around Beyonce's releases. Lemonade is a class album, its instant critical acclaim, massive popularity, and innovation are hard to argue against

She's right. I've been saying this for years. It's sad because Beyonce has a voice that should have spawned multiple classics. Hit singles are not classics. If they are then you all need to let Drake in the top 5 discussion.
I don't like adele's depressing emo "let's all go jump off a bridge into the ocean" crap... never liked that sound. I'll still take beyonce's weakest songs over any adele track.

Donny Hathaway's entered the music industry in 1967. This Christmas was released in 1970, which is one of the best Christmas songs to date.
Stevie Wonder entered the music industry in 1961, as an 11 year old child. Nine years later, he composed one of Smokie Robinson's hit songs, Tears of a Clown. Stevie's My Cherie Amour was recorded in 1967/68 & released in 1969.
Some people start late. Bill Withers was still shopping his demo tapes (in his 30s) & didn't get a shot until 1970. Ain't No Sunshine came out in 1971.
Beyonce has had plenty of time & her discography is too cluttered with BS lyrics like "twirl on my haters." She has some really good songs, but she does not have anywhere near enough songs to justify her cult following.
You totally missed the point:
You are saying artist X in a period before your is great and part of that greatness is the fact you appreciate it outside your era.
At a base minimum regardless of how you feel about Beyoncé today, that part of her legacy where when she’s 70 and people in there 20’s love her work, hasn’t even had a chance to happen yet. Take any artist, regardless of name and that’s just a false equivalency.
