I'll let you have it on "critically acclaimed", but you can't fucc with "biggest"...

So yeah - Confessions is definitely one of the biggest albums of all-time "regardless of genre or classification",
and therefore it's not wrong for it to be mentioned in the same breath with those and (as other dude you quoted mentioned) Don't Be Cruel, Songs In The Key Of Life, and The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

Probably not Voodoo, though.
Well you are shifting the goal post. The general tone was universally classic.

“Biggest” is trending towards sales and a lot of other metrics you are using to prop up your argument.

FUKK DIONNE WARIWCK :pacspit:

this byatch sided with Right wing republican nutjobs like Tipper Gore in an effort to mute "gangsta rap" back in the 90s

when in reality her and Deloras Tucker was trying to extort Interscope into making her relevant on the radio again as well as give Tucker her own "music imprint"

had her hand open for a check :feedme: so she could put a "rap collabo" saying she was trying to change hip hop....byatch was just broke looking to be in the spotlight again

she always throwing shade at "black entertainers and moguls"

but she ain't said shyt to them crakkkers like Norby Walters who got the MAFIA involved to get her to remain locked into that slave deal she had

or what about Burt Bacharach her songwrighting friend who made MILLIONS off of her publishing .......and had to file bankruptcy multiple times

Dionne Warwick: dizzying downfall of a bankrupt diva

this old hoe ain't got an issue with Beyonce's iconic status...SHE JUST JEALOUS CAUSE SHE DIDN'T MAKE THE RIGHT BUSINESS MOVES LIKE BEYONCE

Bey should put out a "flabby n sick" diss song about old haters like Dionne :pachaha:

:what: nikka are you crazy, she was right to criticize that shyt back then because she knew what it was going to grow into, as was calvin butts and delores tucker

they also saw what those record labels were trying to do and exploiting cats from the streets and replacing legitimate artists

you've got to be a deranged and sick muthafukka to argue that you WANTED to see gangsta rap thrive and decimate black communities and kids :snoop:

nikka plenty people cover her music too. And like I said shyt has been a big time change in music in regards to samples and covers. Artists are not letting people eat off their shyt no more. Beyoncé I can list dozens of covers of her music.

Ah, here's the point - Beyoncé doesn't have a "her shyt". LOL
People bring her songs to sing that they wrote - not her...she just like every other pop artist.

As a matter of fact, more often than not she hears the song first from a demo.
Now if the person on the demo releases the song and Bey releases the song, what can Bey do about it?
Not a gottdamn thing. Why? Because her version itself is a cover of the original version.

This used to happen all the time, it doesn't happen as much now...but the reason it doesn't happen as much now isn't because "it would cost too much money".

All the best.

I live in this universe, and it's a classic in this realm...I don't know what universe you're living in...

I agree with her. She doesn't even have a straight black man fan base. You see nyggas admire her talent and say "yeah she's a great performer," but how many of you nyggas even listen to her shyt?

Her music is like, how could a guy even enjoy this?

You right.Bey lacks universal appeal.I even hear people saying she surpassed Michael Jackson

as the GOAT performer.Mike had men & women fainting at his concerts.Bey is mostly "You Ok Sis?"

in music form.I understand why the everyday, typical female will love her, tho.You can definitely say

she's an icon on that end of the spectrum.Other than Me Myself And I, I've never been able to vibe

to a Beyonce track. Her music is popular, but flimsy to me.Damn near gimmicky. It really gets cringy

when she tries to make those "I'm still hood" songs she puts out every blue moon.Bey's strictly a

female thing. That's why I can't put her on that all time universal icon list with women like Sade or even

Anita Baker for instance. While she's probably more popular than both of them combined , she doesn't

resonate with both genders like they can....But that's personal. In the social conscious bubble of modern

contemporary culture, she's definitely an icon. Her marketing team is superb

I can't stand casual music listeners that only care about "hot singles / record sales / awards" and probably never listened to an album outside of a "greatest hits" CD like no wonder that's why The Booth section is wack these days:bryan:.

just out of curiosity what artists would you like to see discussed in the booth? because recent topics have ranged from de la soul's discography to newer rappers like benny the butcher and 38 spesh along with whatever's hot commercially at the moment
