My power company's standard rate is roughly 12 cents per kilowatt hour here in GA. (not off peak). That woulda been like half the price charging at home. With gas you woulda been at at least 30 bucks

When I start seeing electric cars in fast and furious movies I might think about switching.

Yeah we filled up my wife’s 16 gallon tank on premium the other for $70 and said it’s time for an ev :francis:
Her car gets about 28/32mpg which is good but if gas hits $5/6 and our electric bill is 10c kWh the choice is fkn obv as hell

Preach

Going on a year with my Model 3. Was spending 450 a month on gas driving my Frontier as of last March when gas was in the low 2s (hundred mile round trip to work daily). When it started acting up, I made the jump and got rid of my truck and got my Tesla. Best investment ever. I'd be at over 800 bucks a month in gas right now.

I'm at 32k miles and the only thing I've done so far is replace the air filter on my own and refill windshield wiper fluid. :win:

Got a power charger installed at home so I recharge it each night for roughly 3 to 4 bucks worth of electricity. I charge mine to 85% battery usually.

When I do hit up Superchargers it spend maybe 6 bucks and change to fully charge but I only do that on long trips.

Got a 100 dollar credit from the power company for installing a power charger at home and got 25 bucks a month off my power bill for a year. The difference in my power bill wouldn't even be that noticeable without the credit.

I :mjlol:everyday driving by the gas station. Hate filling up my wife's car cause she has to use premium but at least we got a Sam's membership for that.

Best investment ever (for my situation with my drive for work).
They not hearing you bro slice :mjlol:

my model x stay with 60% charge because we literally just use it for local runs and occasionally road trips..

Lol.

This isn't true. My girl has a model 3 and her electric bill is only about $12 higher each month .

Charging at a supercharger is only like $8-10 bucks.

and if you got in somewhat at the ground floor with a Model S a few years ago, those super chargers were free for “life”

now the newer customers aren’t getting in on that but electric charging is nowhere near an ICE vehicle. And who knows what you can really do with a proper solar setup at the crib.

Glad most of the nonsense from the first page has been cleared up. I notice that sometimes when OPs come through with trash, unsubstantiated assumptions..often times you will not see anymore posts in the topic when more knowledgeable posters share info. That definitely happened in this topic :russ:
