most eletric engines are only 190-250 mile range as well and thats with out AC, wear and tear, etc. which lowers it even lower than that. Its definitely not the value they are hyped up to be. Possibly slightly cheaper than a gas vehicle at moderate gas prices when everything accounted for.

They used to give a HUGE tax break/refund for getting one though (like $7500 or some shyt) not sure if they if they still do that. That was a major drive in sales a few years ago

and when you think about THAT....its not really helping with that either unless you're using solar, or hydro....because otherwise electricity comes from the burning of coal....which....fukks up the environment....so we right back where we started

Only 20% of US electricity comes from coal and that # has been going down steadily. Also, no matter what the electricity source it's a lot cleaner to use electricity than to burn an internal combustion engine because burning the shyt in your car isn't nearly as efficient and doesn't capture nearly as much of the emissions as a modern power plant does.

I do agree with one thing though - we should be reducing energy consumption full stop, not just shifting.

Someone explain why China already hit 500,000 electric buses a couple years about while the USA has like 100 total?
