NEW YORK CITY — Diddy
can't hold down his key to New York City, if Mayor Eric Adams has his way.
A
brutal video that showed Sean "Diddy" Combs beating his former girlfriend Cassie could lead officials to take the unprecedented step of revoking the music mogul's key to the city, Adams told 1010 WINS Monday.
"We never have taken a key back from anyone, but the team is doing an analysis of what the next steps are," he said.
Adams' condemnation of Combs' "unacceptable" assault — which the hip-hip star admitted to in an
apology video posted over the weekend — contrasted with his celebratory words when he presented him with the key to the city Sept. 15 in Times Square.
"The bad boy of entertainment is getting the key to the city from the bad boy of politics!" Adams
said during the ceremony.

Combs' fortunes fell soon after receiving the city's key.
Cassie, an R&B singer,
filed a federal lawsuit in Manhattan during November that accused Combs of sexual and physical abuse.
The suit was
settled a day later, but it opened floodgates of scrutiny, similar accusations, other lawsuits and a federal sex trafficking investigation against Combs.
