Did Season 8 of Game of Thrones ruin the series for you?

Was the season perfect? Of course not. I’ll still put GoT in my top 10-20 shows.

I’ve been a fan (not a big fan) of this show since it aired. It put me on to medieval fantasy, so it holds a place in my heart. But even tho it was a big part in my interests, it never hit me like other genres I’m into.

There have been plenty of shows with worst fall offs. I’d definitely put this one in the bottom of the list.

I love Lost and put it in my Top 5 tv shows. GoT will be in there too.

That's fine everyone has their opinion. I'm pretty sure all the great moments mean a lot to you personally as a viewer who watched 8 years.

But for me, how a series goes out is just as important to the overall product of a show for me. I can easily say now that I don't have GOT in my top 5.

To me GOT reminds me of Naruto in a strange manner. Naruto was a top 5 anime/manga series for me for the longest, especially experiencing the moments when they occurred. But as I get older, experiencing more series and understanding what makes a series great and what doesn't. I went back and tried watching the series then I had to admit letting shyt slide with a clouded judgement did no favors for me now. Lots of trash formulas presented throughout the series, logic gaps, and it just went out sad. So its no longer in my top 5.

GOT going to be the same for me. Everything was original and fantastic when they had material to go from the books. But I hated this season so much it soured the overall series for me. It's like how you can do great in a course the entire semester just to end up with a very low C, almost close to a D because you bombed the final so bad.

How often do you go back and watch TV shows? Especially in this peak TV era

I watched breaking bad 2 times, on the 3rd watch with my gf who never saw it. Still fire

Shes on season 4 of GoT, after tonight when she called from work and asked me.how.it ended I almost told her to throw it in the trash but I said just enjoy the journey

nah i dig the whole man of science/man of faith storyline Lost had throughout the series more than the direction that GoT went

Lost was also more relatable with their journeys (off island parts/flashbacks) because of the natural human elements as opposed to the overall fantasy element in GoT

but this is all opinion, if someone wants to rank GoT over Lost then

How often do you go back and watch TV shows? Especially in this peak TV era

to this day i'd still go back and watch sopranos, the wire, curb your enthusiasm, breaking bad, mad men, entourage, the office, House, boardwalk empire..

Season 1-4 is amazing. Season 5 is okay. Season 6 it was good again. Season 7 had its moments and 8 was horribad.

I have no desire to rewatch season 8 ever.

S1-4 was GOATier. Season 5 was okay. Season 6 was classic GOT again. Season 7 was meh. Season 8 was the worst one.

GOT is still one of the GOATS but that's with ignoring the later seasons and their shyt execution.

I started a re watch last week. This will be my fourth time rewatching the entire series. The highs are so high, that not even season 8 can ruin the series for me.

in spite of season 8, GOT is the GOAT hands down. The highlights of GOT are so much better than the highs of other top 5 contenders. And I love The Wire, BB, and Sopranos etc.

In retrospect, no. There will never be another TV show like this ever again, imo. It was an epic fantasy that ran for 8 seasons. Fact of the matter of 5 out those 8 were really good. Season 5 was so-so and only season 8 was bad but still entertaining. I would still consider it one of the top 10 TV shows ever made.

I thought the show was wack after season 4.. I just kept watching it to see how it ends. This whole shyt was corny. Winter came and went in one episode. Daenerys goes crazy in one episode. Jon Snow being a bytch since day 1 and never becoming a man. This shyt is garbage.
