Y’all really go hard with these best show rankings. I have some faves, but they shift, especially if we’re not limiting it to one hour dramas. Too much tv out there from the past and present for me to really remember what exactly is my 1, 2, 3., etc

House of cards clearly fell off the last two seasons, but it’s still a favorite
The wire fo sho
I loved breaking bad but this is a show I don’t ever feel like rewatching :manny:
Sopranos was so garbage to me, couldn’t make it past the middle of season 2
FNL is goat status to me
GOT still goat, might never watch season 8 again tho
The Americans is a fave
I know at one point I loved Lost, tapped out in the final season and for the life of me couldn’t tell you shyt about that show now :ld:

I might need to check mad men and the shield since they’re brought up a lot

I don’t know, a lot of tv is super dope to me when I’m into the current run, but forgettable to me years later. Guess that’s why GOT will likely stay top 5 for me, I’ll never forget this show. I’m not likely to have another fantasy show I care about like that, this was unique, this show made me nerd out in a way no other show has...love the series, hate the final season.

At least it closed loops, something Sopranos and Dexter couldn't do. Keep in mind those were critically acclaimed, and one episode/ending killed all the work done.

GoT was spoiled by Martin a long time ago....when asked how he sees it ending "Nothing but graves"....that shyt isn't nice to hear when you're reading 1200+ pages of his books...trust me. So what D&D did was fine. The only problem I had was Jon Snow getting a full reset, so he's the second Aegon to be sent to the Nights Watch? C'mon son, thats just lazy.
Nah Sopranos was alluding to Tony being killed the whole season.

I had to change my vote after that finale. Got no interest in a rewatch. Even my girl who I got into it early in season 8, just watched the red wedding yesterday and said this is greatest show she ever watched and I was like " :francis: yeah it WAS really great"

It doesn't RUIN the series for me, it definitely damages it.

Honestly seasons 1-4+6 are still so good and some of the beats in 7 and even 8 are still ill because of it.
I'd put Seasons 1-3 up against any other show. It's still in my top 5.

Would've been top 3 :mjcry:

dexter was done after the incest arch and maybe even prior when his wife was killed.

there was nothing to close, it went off a cliffs edge.

Series is good til S7E4.

Show logic falls the fukk off from S7E5 and on. Prepping the "Magnificent 7" marked the end of plot development for everybody the rest of the series. What a shyt show that was. From people passing off leaks as theories to what we actually got on screen. :deadrose:

Yeah Beyond the Wall and the whole concept behind it was when things started to look funny in the light. Funnily enough I loved that episode on it's own. It's funny and dope in a lot of ways but the entire premise is so absurd that it probably single handily wiped the rest of the series when you think about all the threads that came out of that episode/premise.
