At least it closed loops, something Sopranos and Dexter couldn't do. Keep in mind those were critically acclaimed, and one episode/ending killed all the work done.

GoT was spoiled by Martin a long time ago....when asked how he sees it ending "Nothing but graves"....that shyt isn't nice to hear when you're reading 1200+ pages of his books...trust me. So what D&D did was fine. The only problem I had was Jon Snow getting a full reset, so he's the second Aegon to be sent to the Nights Watch? C'mon son, thats just lazy.

it's close. i wish there was another option because i'll still rewatch it at some point.....but once i get to S8, its gonna really expose how disjointed it is.

:francis: i was caping all season but that finale hurt my soul

so much left on the table

so much that just made no fukking sense

going back would probably make me mad cause most of the arcs were basically for nothing

they really out thought themselves

they were so pressed to swerve that they wrote themselves out of a good story that was right there

it was right there :damn:

Either that or they could’ve just taken their time and not rushed everything by condensing the final season or two.

This dude @hex throwing a party in this sub-forum because GOT made Breaking Bad look like an after thought for years. Trying to run a victory lap after a rushed final two seasons.

Hex is my dude but he's going extra with this season :russ: you could tell he was saving a lot of ammo if/when D&D shat the bed.

I'm going hard because if you check the season 8 thread I was one of the few people defending episodes 1-2. Even after 3 I was like :patrice:"let me see where they go with this".

I been #Starkset since season 1. Changed my avy months before this season even started. 4-6 was hands down the worst I've seen a show fall off, probably in history. In terms of what it was, to where it ended up.

Then on top of all that for these clowns to invoke "Breaking Bad" as their inspiration for the final season/finale....then we get this? shyt is like a slap in the face man.

Fred.

Let me just say that I love the backstory of ASOIAF.

Everything that happened in GOT topped the backstory.

I loved season 8. Nikkas really think Jon Snow went back to the Night’s Watch? Did you not see the scene where he was leading the Wildlings north of the wall? Jon Snow is the King Beyond the Wall (like Mance Rayder was). He fit in much better with the Wildlings than he would have on the Iron Throne.

Daenerys has been on that “bend the knee or die” when she could have just allied herself with more armies by being diplomatic.

Just take Daenerys and Jon Snow and look at their characters arcs before they met in season 7.

Could you imagine Jon Snow telling his enemies they will die screaming? Could you imagine Jon Snow crucifying all of the slavemasters in Mereen without at least calling for some sort of due process?

If Daenerys had taken the Iron Throne, she would have been a tyrant who would have eventually killed anybody who posed a threat to her rule.

If Aegon had taken the Iron Throne, he would have been inept at playing politics and would have “done the right thing”, which would have ultimately ended like the season 5 finale, with no Melisandre to resurrect him.

Bran might be the most evil motherfukker in Westeros, refusing to help during the battle of Winterfell, although he could have used his warg powers. Instead, his inaction resulted in the deaths of quite a few Targaryen soldiers, leaving Dany more vulnerable. He told Sam to tell Jon about his true heritage right at the brink of war. At no point was he worried about the Night King because he knew Arya would defeat the Night King and the White Walkers with the dagger he had given her. Didn’t Bran and Tyrion have a secret conversation back in Winterfell that the viewers weren’t privy to? I think that’s when Tyrion and Bran got together their plan for Bran to be King and Tyrion to be Hand. The Three-Eyed Raven plotted to be King of Westeros. He knew Jon didn’t want to be King of Westeros and his ability as a seer allowed him to see what circumstances would make Daenerys snap and destroy King’s Landing, forcing Jon to kill her.

Sneakiest little punk on the show. :mjlol:
