S6E10 is the GOAT episode to me. Perfection from start to finish and connected these stories in this huge world flawlessly
Who directed that episode? The cinematography too looks amazing compared to the shyt I saw in S8E4.

Reminds me when people pissed and moaned about the last season of The Sopranos and The Wire....
Got the army of the dead vs man - check
Most of the villains killed off - check
Drogon putting in work - check
Starkset, Targset, Baratheonset taking wins - check
It is what everyone wanted....
First I hear, 'Will this shyt hurry up? This season is dragging"....Now it is, "Whooa...slow down...y'all doing too much"...
Just sit back and enjoy the show
The negative comments for the final seasons of "The Wire" and "The Sopranos" is not remotely in the same stratosphere of what we're experiencing with "GOT". It's not even on the same planet.
As far as your "check" comments....that's exactly how this season was written. Checking off boxes without giving a fukk about how they actually got to those things.

First:
Social Media wasn't popping then so no one could complain and bytch over small things like Tony in a coma or Marlo getting locked up...
Second:
Not everyone had HBO then...less folks to cause a shyt storm....
Omar getting popped today in 2019 would have people Boycotting the Wire because "there is no way a little kid could do that!"
20 year old adhd kids on Reddit and Twitter are causing this drama...
Unless the series finale is the single greatest episode of TV in history....of course it ruined the series. How could it not?
People in here talking about "well yeah....I mean, the last 2 seasons were trash but it's still top 5". HOW SWAY?
What other show had 2 bad seasons in a row this late in the game, and is still considered top 5? What other show had a final season this universally panned by critics and fans alike....and is still considered GOAT material?
shyt is crazy talk.
It seems like people don't want to admit they wasted 8 years of their life investing in this series, only for the writers to completely fukk it up at the finish line. It's a bitter pill to swallow but let's keep it real here. I haven't seen a show fall off this hard, this abruptly since "Dexter".

Ruining a series and not having it be objectively top 5 are different. That's your take, not sure why you feel the need to think others are rationalizing their feelings. Furthermore season 7 was a huge falloff in quality but didn't just RIP apart what was building in the other seasons, it built upon it, albeit quickly. They then went to season 8 running thru checkpoints while also tearing apart everything prior to it. I can easily enjoy seasons 1-6, even 7, and not feel like they was ruined. Do we have a mass of people who will still put it to 5? Who knows, but it will still make plenty of people's subjective top 5 so stop acting like everyone has to see it your way or just be trying to save face.
This thread is asking to individuals, so there's that, subjective opinionIf a series was, objectively, gunning for a top 5 spot and now it's not....how did it not ruin it?
If you can enjoy seasons 1-6 and parts of 7....then that's not the series.
So again....how did it not ruin the series? It doesn't mean you'll never watch it again. It doesn't mean you can't enjoy any part of it.
It means the series as a whole has been compromised.
And I'm not talking about it being in people's top 5 in general....I'm talking about people saying it had two bad seasons....but it's still top 5. There's no precedent for that in TV history. The closest to that would be "The Wire" which had a so-so season 5 but the fall off was nowhere near "GOT".
