Did Rae, GFK, GZA, OdB all dropping better albums than Meth hurt his legacy?

Tical 0 was a big let down, i ripped off the plastic thinking it was gonna be a banger...i couldn't even force my self to like it...tracks like 'who u rollin wit' , the cheesy keyboard intro, that silly/goofy rick rock track...shyt was a disaster. the played out/weak ass punchlines smh. I heard a lot of wack albums but damn..even da outsidaz da bricks was better. ...he didn't even put "Uh-Huh" on the album.

and what's with this new drug dealer m.c thing?

nikkas didn't give busta a pass...

ps: Tical better than Ironman ....riiiiiiggght

Tical was dope but it's not fukking with Ironman. No way.

Tical 2000 was great. If you take off the skits, you have a very potent album. After Supreme, it's the best sophomore album from the Wu solos.

Tical 0 was the most disappointing Wu album I ever heard. Horrid. That album did more to tarnish his legacy than anything. Just a sorry piece of shyt album.

Meth knows he doesn't have a classic and even stated as such. He's working on making Crystal Meth his first universally hailed hip hop classic. He's easily one of the greatest 50 MC's ever. His charisma, voice, flow, creativity and wordplay is a potent mix, but his lack of verses telling stories or delving deep into one particular subject is what prevents him from breaking into that Top 20 GOAT MC's ever conversation imo.

Tical 0 :damn:

Meth wanted to have RZA executive produce the album, but Def Jam made him use Diddy. I still think half the album was straight though. My mind a little foggy now, but there were certain tracks that were supposed to be on that album

:comeon: Of course not.

Everytime a member dropped their classic debut spearheaded by The RZA, it only enhanced the Wu legacy. And since, everyone's infatuated with numbers Meth still sold more than the other generals. However, numbers doesn't equate to the value of a classic.

Meth's first album was a huge letdown.

I think people realized that he's a better posse MC than one that could do it alone for a full LP.

"I want my classic LP, the five-mic-er for myself. Not based on The Source's five mics but a five-mic-er to myself. I don't feel like I have to prove myself to anybody. But I feel like I have to prove myself to myself" - Method Man in 2010
