Did Puka Nacua's record-setting year expose Cooper Kupp as a system receiver?

Pre-draft analysis does not mean shyt when Puka proved all of that wrong this year. Anyone who actually Watched the Rams this year (something you clearly didn't do or rarely did) will tell you that Puka's route running and ability to make incredible plays this year has been nothing short of excellence.

Facts

Especially against defenses like Pittsburgh and Cleveland which he killed

The main reason I'm salty is that WRs are so rarely considered for awards, it still seems wild to me that Cooper Kupp of all people is the one to get them.

Only 3 other WRs in NFL history have ever won the OPOY. Calvin Johnson never won an OPOY. Neither did Larry Fitzgerald. Neither did Randy Moss.

Only 7 other WRs had won a Super Bowl MVP, and no one in 50 years had done it with fewer receiving yards than Kupp's 92. There's been over 50 wide receivers who have put up 100+ yards in a Super Bowl and 90% of them didn't win MVP for their efforts, but Kupp gets when he had been damn near forgettable all game (5 catches for 53 yards and an incomplete pass) until the final drive.

Does anyone really believe that Cooper Kupp is better than Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs, or Devonte Adams? All three of them were better than Kupp before his big season, and they're still better than Kupp after his big season. But Kupp is the one who gets all the media attention and awards.
Nah you clearly didn’t watch the game and watched the stats.

Rams lost their WR2, WR3, TE1 and TE2. It was literally just Kupp out there catching doubles and brackets all game after OBJ got hurt. Until he locked in that final drive the Rams couldn’t even move the ball. It was him against the entire secondary and he dogged them.

First catch: in the backfield with defender playing off
Second catch: wide open on blown coverage (TD)
Third catch: Dumped short with defender playing off
Fourth catch: Really nice comeback while bracketed
Fifth catch: Dumped short on single coverage
Sixth catch: Good timing route, was just ahead of the defender and pass came before the 2nd guy got there
Seventh catch: Dumped short against a double
Eighth catch: Good play call against remarkably useless single coverage (TD)

Saying it was "him against the entire secondary" is silly when that's not what was happening when they actually completed passes. Three of his catches were under the coverage, two more were on damn near useless coverage. There were 3 passes all game that he caught on tight coverage, which totaled maybe 40 yards combined. That was some nice timing between him and Stafford, but that's not an MVP case.

Take this the way you want to but the way you post and talk about football makes it sound like you just started watching football a couple years ago and you dont really have any understanding on what youre talking about and its time for you to stop

Got a lot more daps than you did, even though you're posting more in the thread than I am. :umad:

Why would you want me to stop, you literally haven't posted in a single thread this year other than this one. :laff:

You've posted damn near 15 times in the thread already and those are your only posts this month. Clearly I entertain you. :pachaha:

I've never claimed to watch much NFL nowadays - I boycotted for years when they fukked over Kaepernick, and even when I stopped boycotting a few years later, I barely watch. The sport is half-dead to me and I have never claimed otherwise. But you got one thing wrong - I was watching football before you were born, and unlike you, I can actually pay attention and understand what's going on on the field without just stanning my team.

Do you post anything other than pro-Rams rants on here, ever? Like, how many months back in your history would I have to go to find the last comment you made that wasn't just pro-Rams fandom bullshyt?

:mjlol:No, he's right. Stafford force feeds and Kupp is overrated. Donald should have gotten MVP that game.

So whats the point of this thread, like I said you dont watch, and you just admitted you dont so you obviously have no clue what youre speaking on.

Once again you don’t watch the Rams and just watch highlights and stats.

Kupp runs almost exclusively option routes. His routes are all determined by pre snap reads. The whole reason him and Stafford spent so much time together during the off season was to develop this chemistry.

It may look like a simple dump off under the double team but that’s because that is what the defense gave him and Stafford saw the same thing. In reality the defense was defending a completely different route because film showed them that Kupp would attack them that way. And he countered.

So to you watching the highlights on YouTube it looks simple and easy, but I promise you it’s much more complex than that. There aren’t a lot of WRs in the league who can play like that and be successful, especially in those circumstances during the SB

And he just admitted he doesn't but wants to act like he knows more about the Rams than guys that watch them week in week out every single year :pachaha:

What the fukk is a system receiver??

:mjlol: If it was that easy then teams would just shut them off and make Stafford throw elsewhere.

You have 0 clue what you're talking about in both messages so please stop while you're ahead.
@Rhakim writes honors theses on Lebron and calls other detractors idiots and simple minded... yet has such a weird brain dead take like this. I'm actually surprised.
